ATN CAMPAIGN PREDICTIONS?

So I’ve been thinking a lot recently about the ATN campaign, I think if 343i plays their cards right they could have some of the most memorable cutscenes ever. What do y’all predict will happen in the Awakening the Nightmare campaign. I’ll put mine in a spoiler below.

WARNING: This will be a speculation, a long one, yours does not have to be this long for me to get the point. I think there will be a lot of action, I could see Atriox being in it but I don’t think Shipmaster or Colony will have a part. Pavium and Voridus will going trying to purge the Flood infested areas, there would be some pretty awesome Blur cutscenes. Near the beginning they come across a UNSC flood control specialist, a high ranking Hellbringer, her name is Morgan Kinsano. She fights the Flood and the Banished brutality and persistently. In a cutscene it shows a Engineer spy, watching Kinsano and a group of Hellbringers getting over run by Flood, Pavium tells the Engineer to return while hearing the scream of the humans, but they never spot it again.
They come across the area where the fight took place, there was no evidence Kinsano was ever there, her body was nowhere in sight, Voridus speculates she’s lying in a hole somewhere, but Pavium believes she still out there. Near the end they will discover the biggest hive they’ve seen so far, and they’ll encounter Decimus, as a flood. You’ll have one final boss fight against, once his health drops below 5% a cutscene triggers. It shows Pavium shooting at him with his machine gun and Voridus using whatever his weapon gun is. Decimus swings down with his blade and strikes Pavium and he’s thrown a great distance, he hits some kind Flood parasite storer (like in the mission Cortana) and five parasites burst out, he shoots four of them and the fifth lungs at him. The scene switches back to Voridus, he jumps onto Decimus’s suit and onto his neck, while he struggles to get Voridus off. Voridus plunges his claws through his head, the mech drops and explodes after Voridus hops off, he rushes towards Pavium, he is wounded heavily and is struggling to breath, the Gravity Hammer pierced him like Romeo but the cut was much more long, then a mission plays like the Hold the Line mission but this time you’re defending Pavium. After you complete the mission a cutscenes where a Phantom comes down with a few Walords, Grunt Deacons, and Honor Guards, they ask them to enter but Voridus refuses, he’s not letting the place stand. Voridus, Two Warlords, Two Honor Guards, and 4 Deacons enter with him with a bomb, since they cannot glass the place if their ship was destroyed, a Walord, a Honor Guard, and Two Deacons guard the door from the outside. While the other Walord, Honor Guard, and Deacons are helping Voridus they hear shouts of panic from their comrades, they hear gunshots and someone getting infected, they all aim their guns at the door, the door burst open. One Deacon tries running in but AR shots rip past him and he drops dead, there’s a chain of Flood rushing in and a Grunt fires a Fuel Rod but misses and hits the wall. The ceiling collapses on that Grunt and a rocket hits the Walord directly. Voridus, the Honor Guard, and a Deacon continue fire until Voridus finally runs out of amo. A flood parasite lunges forward and hits the Honor Guard. Voridus sees an infected Walord hit the Deacon and crushes his hand. The Deacon squeals as parasites cover him. Voridus lungs forward with his blades and stabs the Walord. He continues to tear down Flood until a infected Honor Guard slashes his chest, Voridus falls to the ground with Parasites rushing towards him, he strikes his claw against the bomb. Now you see everything explode from Pavium’s perspective, he’s not sad, nor angry, but he’s now very suprised. He didn’t realize how gruesome and awful the Flood were until now. The cutscenes switches to Pavium walking towards Atriox. In a room Atriox, Shipmaster, and Colony are around a hologram, it’s of a Guardian. Shipmaster had spotted it when trying to expand. Atriox turns to Pavium and says, “I’ve seen you take down Flood, quite impressing, and you will help us take this down too, whatever this is…”

Good story I liked your idea of the last cutscene, I really hope we get some news about the next livestream showing off the new leaders soon.

I dig it!

Sadly there will only be two cutscenes. Blur is soooooo expensive.

I hope they don’t make those either of the Blur cutscenes a walk around the base a talk cutscene, I want some Flood action! If I’m not mistaken we’ve never seen an actual Flood that is in the game beside the Gravemind in a Blur cutscene (I’ll give a point to the Parasites in HW1 since they were so detailed).

I will remember this post, especially after the DLC comes out.

Really?,only 2

Hm, I don’t see the Guardian’s presense in the end part, nothing yet has suggested Cortana could get to the Ark, I even think I’ve read somewhere it is out of her reach as it is located outside of the galaxy.

Either way, interesting reading.

However, I think there are two possabilities:

Ending A: Flood outbreak is contained and things go back to normal. Then there’s one more DLC from the UNSC point of view where we take the fight to Atriox.
We get to see a rematch between Red and Atriox.

Ending B: Crap gets out of hand and we’re left with a bigger flood outbreak that is a major concern for all parties involved. One more DLC where Banished and UNSC are forced to co-operate at which point Atriox’s motives become clear.
Tension between the uneasy allies due to Atriox verbally abusing Red Team, if they’d fall for it, but chances are with some writing that they will.

See, I got the impression from the ATN trailer that Atriox wanted to use the flood against SoF. But someone jumped the gun on getting the flood and they have an outbreak on their hands.

In the community update where they announced ATN they say the campaign is “bookended” by blur cut scenes. Leading me to believe that there are only two.

I also believe Grim or Ske7ch mentioned there being two, but I would need to look for the quote.

She said she’d wipe out anyone one who didn’t obey her, so I get the impression that will threaten the Banished.

I just am really hoping we get some news on the next livestream because I am excited to see those new units and leader powers.

Same here, hope to see the hero units.

This story DLC is either 1, going to lead to a future plot thread, or 2, be self contained and resolved. Judging by some of the recent Halo stories I read, it’s most likely the latter, and this whole Flood stuff is gonna get ended with a somewhat decent story that ties it together. But who knows, maybe ATN is going to blow our minds away.

They made it sound like there would be more than one cutscene in the overall campaign, and some people even got to see one of them!

Wait people were able to see one?

Yeah that is what he said, I had no clue

Maybe it was some of the youtubers, he also said he saw two grown men crying because it was so beautiful

Maybe they meant the trailer? It was Blur.

Hopefully there fairly long because those cut-scenes will hopefully lead to the hype for H6 aka the return of the Flood in all it’s glory. I’m guessing the opening scene for the return of the Flood and the final scene where the Flood probably infect more worlds that have been emp’d by Cortana, well since she can’t hear them…she won’t be expecting the invasion from the Ark…

My other theory is a Flood escape’s and heads out towards the outer rims of the galaxy to signal the ‘Flood’ home-world…similar to the Borg home-world in the Delta quadrant.

Which final cutscene, the meeting or the fight?

At this point anything could happen, I hope you’re right and they escape.
