At the end of the day, this is the most fun I've had in a multiplayer first-person shooter in years

I know I’ve been very critical of Halo Infinite’s faults. We all know the ones…

But after all is said and done… I really love this game.
I’ve started training my aim.
I’ve started looking up strategy.
I’m memorizing map layouts.
I’m grabbing and using all the new equipment for the sheer fun of it.
I’ve begun to relax and enjoy the experience.
This is Halo, man. This really feels like Halo. Even with the… uncharacteristic quirks, it currently has.

I love the game so much that I am truly afraid it will stagnate if problems don’t get resolved in a way we can equally benefit from. And after all, that’s what this is, right? Fair trade?

We don’t mean to rush you into knee-jerk reactions, 343. We know these last two years have probably been a big pile of setbacks and unexpected trials for your teams, and from now on you guys are looking to the future and how to really maximize the game’s value. And I do believe that the issues we have now are totally fixable. I think, given enough leverage and discussion, we can all land on the best possible product for Infinite’s multiplayer experience.

I mean, think about it. If most of us feel like we’re getting a great deal, most of us have a few extra dollars lying around each month… That’s some portion of over 5 million people have installed Infinite’s multiplayer on Steam.
I guess what I’m saying is, you’ve got something very special here. And we can’t wait to see where it goes from here. Look out, Fortnite. Halo Infinite’s here to steal your customers.

Is it? Or are we just riding nostalgia because we WANT this to be a great game? I’m not trying to invalidate your enjoyment. I think I’ve been having fun playing this game. Despite me being constantly frustrated with it. Despite every other ounce of me that is in constant aggravation, I keep saying that it’s the best since reach, and yet, here I am constantly frustrated with the game. Maybe we’re just not being honest with ourselves. Maybe we as Halo fans don’t think the game is good. We NEED this game to be good and that’s tampering with our reason a little bit? I could be wrong.

I personally dont get those complaints which arent technical only.

The game is excellent&fun and I am sinking a lot of time in it.

I just wish they improve hit detection, performance & crashes on pc and I am happy.

The rest does not bother me to even talk about it.

343 keep up the great work and keep listening to feedback

Imma be real with you… I’ve gotten to a point in the battle pass where my spartan is starting to look a little more unique than my teammates. If I’m not worried about challenges, the only grief I have is the lack of playlists and the lack of a true Blood Gulch successor (Open map, long sight lines, lots of room to maneuver mixed with a few tight spaces along the sides) I know Fragmentation is kinda supposed to be the evolution of blood gulch here, spring boarding from Valhalla (Halo 3) But it really doesn’t play the same at all.

I digress, if I’m just playing to have fun, I have a LOT of fun. Especially in 4v4 when there’s some dude on the enemy team with a premium armor and I get to bully him because I been practicing.
“Haha yeah… I earned this extra shade of blue. What did YOU earn?”

Hit detection is a little funky sometimes… even when practicing against bots sometimes the S7 sniper rifle just… misses? With the reticle over the spartan’s head? As if the shot came from a little too far to the right of me and crossed in front of the enemy’s head…
If the theater mode was less broken I could collect all that footage and see what’s really going on but, ehh… for now I just know it’s a little odd sometimes.
