at least rename halo reach 2

At least that way the can save the halo name some dignity. We can have the horrendous reach and halo 4,5,and 6 lumped all together.

Can you post a link to the gameplay footage you’ve seen on Halo4 so I can compare it to some Halo: Reach multi-player footage?

Not necessary.

Halos 1-3 were all about starting off on an even playing field.

Halo: Reach did not do this, which made it no longer Halo.
Halo 4 has confirmed it will do this and go even further by making power weapons randomly spawn as well.

Can you post a link of halo 1-3 gameplay that had camo, jetpack, sprint, hologram, and xray vision armor abilities available off spawn?

If you cant find such vids then just realize this is more reach 2 than Halo 4

Well I think the halo name pretty much covers that. A halo game that takes things from the latest one and not a 5 year old game, strange.

Uh…

Call of Halo: Spartan Ops

Can you post a link of Halo 4 footage that takes place on Reach with Master Chief as the main playable character in the campaign?

Halo 4 is not set on reach, so that name would make no sense.

Who’s to say that all the weapons that you can start with aren’t balanced to make 1v1’s fair fights?

Seems legit right ? :stuck_out_tongue:

LOL this community is full of trolls. I only came here to find a link to the articles, otherwise I stay out of this place.

They’re hating on the most recent Halos when most of them weren’t old enough to buy/play Halo CE (I know I wasn’t, I’m only 18 now )

Actually, if everyone spawns with sprint, it will still be an even start.

How about: Call of Halo: Spartan Warfare

I know right? who would take ideas from 2 Game of the years Halo 2 and CE, and the King of XBL from 2007 to Nov 2009, and then #2?

Clearly reach is a better choice for inspiration, I mean its ranked #6 and as we all know #6 is a bigger number than #1-2. We also cant forget that Halo reach won just as many GOTY as CE and 2 right?

CE was the first video game I ever played. Played when I was 6 during Hanukkah at my cousins house. I’m a year younger than you.

The reason people hate on the most recent Halo’s is because Halo games have been getting consistently worse each time (although Halo 2 was oodles of fun). This was a trend I was hoping would discontinue with Reach to 4, but it is not looking hopeful.

Disregarding different weapons and AA’s, yes, you are correct.

No matter which Halo game you’re playing, it’s never been a prefectly even start, even on symmetrical maps. One player could spawn next to a Battle Rifle and another could spawn next to a Carbine. So when they meet in battle, they’re still going to have different weapons. The only difference with Halo 4 is that we get to choose which weapon we want to spawn with rather than look around for a decent one just so you stand a chance at killing someone.

Yes. An even, terrible start.

Oh I forgot that we should judge games based of story instead of gameplay. I mean who reads books or watches movies for that stuff anymore? So outdated.

But it is interesting that you think Reach isn’t Halo since it doesn’t have Master chief as a MPC. I agree with you Reach isn’t Halo.

Now your talking about map balance, not trait balance. Halo is an Arena shooter, you’re supposed to look around the map and fight for the weapons.

Yes, for the power weapons, which you still do in Halo 4.

> Yes, for the power weapons, which you still do in Halo 4.

No, for all weapons other than the starting weapons. Also, everyone is supposed to spawn with equal traits. That’s how Arena Shooters and Halo works. If players don’t spawn exactly the same, it isn’t a Halo multiplayer.
