At last

Yesterday on what was said to be the two year anniversary of Halo 5 (and just over my one year anniversary of playing), I have completed unlocks. A couple weeks ago I finally snagged the elusive Nornfang cert, and the free Greatest Hits pack helped me get the last few helmets I needed.
I feel like I should feel more elated, but oddly enough I feel like I’m now ready to move on to primarily playing Destiny 2.

It’s not too fun after a while after unlocking every thing some reqs that I need just seem to be elusive.

I unlocked everything a long time ago. H5 is still my go to game.

Do you ever play customs nowadays? I refrained until I unlocked everything, I’m just wondering what some fun customs may be.

Congrats on unlocking everything. I was happy when I reached that goal because then I could get a gold pack after almost every firefight match, which made it a lot easier to stock up on vehicles :+1:

The only thing that I was really happy with unlocking was the halo 2 battle rifle for the nostalgia factor , I’ve had everything unlocked for a long time now and it never really was a satisfying or rewarding grind to do . Hopefully so improvements in this for h6.

I got that towards the end of the long grind. Of course due to my luck I got the Nornfang Cert last, but I got the H2BR about fifteen gold packs before.

That’s how these reward systems work. They reward you for playing a game (which is in itself a reward … or was, until these systems turned it into a chore or a grind) and now you’re hooked on this pattern of playing in order to get something for your efforts. You’ve unlocked everything, so there’s nothing anything cool & exciting so the game feels like it’s lost its reward. The game is defeating its own purpose of being a game (i.e. a fun rewarding thing to do) by having these systems. Combat Evolved and Halo 2 didn’t have reward systems and people played them because it was fun to run around and shoot each other and aliens and such. Games were fun. Now they’re a grind.

But anyway, that’s my two cents. You do you. I still play for the same reason I still play all the Halo games. I like sci fi stuff & shootin’ aliens.

I’m not the only one!
Buddy that weapon was something that made me feel good about using the battle rifle, and still does to this day!
It was cheeky, but it was the right move to make it legendary, that means it’ll take a good bit to unlock it, but once you do.
-Yoink- YEAH
It’s great, and gives a feeling to the battle rifle that the Supressor upgrade never could.
Do I prefer the Halo 2 design over Halo 5’s? You never know?
I think it was just the stacking emotions that I got while unlocking it, and all days up until unlocking that really topped the cherry!

Now you get to enjoy completing 100% of the commendations and getting to SR152
