At Last ! Controller settings that feel like previous Halo’s

I play on Xbox one.
Like so many people I couldn’t recreate the same feeling with all the new settings that I used to have playing all the other Halo’s.

Watched all the YouTube vids….”Best settings”, play like a pro”……yeh right tried everything looking for that steady shot, good up close, ability to track from a distance and combat the strafing, jumping and crouching that players do to prolong their death.

Now these setting may seem odd ish and dont make massive sense but I promise give it a try and your old Halo shot will return

Look Acc : 2
Look Sens. Horizontal 1.5
Look Sens. Vertical. 1.5

When it comes to Deadzones ignore that stick drift test, remember the aiming on this game is broken so following any guidelines will not help accuracy.
My Deadzones settings give the best feeling and not related to my stick drift

Move centre Deadzone 6
Max input Threshold 5
Axial Deadzone 5

Look
Centre Deadzone 2.5
Max Thresh. 5
Axial Deadzone. 5

Will these settings make you win every 1v1 ?
No of course not
Will these settings make you shoot lik a pro ?
Not in a billion years
Will these setting allow you to be competitive with people
Hell yes.

If this helps just one person who loves Halo but is having an aiming nightmare then job done.

P.s like all changes you need to get used to them and when you do you will see the Halo love

Just an FYI, deadzone settings are not a one size fit’s all type of setting. Remember back in the 360 days? How many controllers did we all replace because of stick drift? It’s still a thing today and will always be a thing, but devs are now allowing us to zero out the drift by adjusting the deadzones.

Happy to test these settings but they sound too slow for my style of play tbh. I can see these settings benefiting those players that prefer to stand off and play from range as they should help tighten things up to stay on target easier…the downside is that they may be too slow at close to mid range. I’m very much an all rounder with a tendency for aggressive twitch style play so need my controls to respond as quickly as my reactions and stay on target at all ranges.

I’ll give them a test anyway…if I can be bothered to play the game again.

The point is my deadzones according to stick drift are 1.5 and 2, tried it a those settings and still the controller over reacts, so I played around until all the turning was smooth. Ignore the Deadzone principle and try out different settings
