Hey. So recently an idea popped into my mind that I think would work very well in competitive settings. So whenever two people work together to take down another player, the team gets 10 points, the one who got the kill gets 10 to his personal points and the assister gets 5. Now what if the team got an extra five for assists? I believe this would push to encourage teamwork and make assists more of a positive thing. So people would actually push to get assists (And it’d get rid of annoying people who say “Dude! You stole kill! -Yoink-!”). Teams that seperate themselves and get kills alone would do do significantly worse than teams that are team-shooting and working together, increasing the skill gap just a little more. If you got more from assists than you did from kills, than wouldn’t you try being with your team more so your points can go up more? I think that just makes sense.
