Assists count as kills

Am I the only person who feels if you get two assists it should count as one kill? I feel this would really help out the people who try to finish all of the commendations because some of the commendations like killing a Mantis are very difficult and take a lot of time. And if you put all of the damage into a person or vehicle and that kill gets stolen, you’re kind of screwed out of a commendation progression. Does anyone else agree?

I disagree.

It’s an assist. Not a kill. It’s a team game, kills get stolen. It happens.

Thus brings the end of this thread

I say we draw this thread out… For… As… Long… As… Possible…

This is wierd

Battlefield has it, but for Halo it would be weird.

the KDA formula is

(Kills + (Assists/3)) / Deaths

so for every 3 assists it counts as a point towards your KDA

most die hard straight K/D stat tryhards will say KDA is a “feel good number for bad kids” but really it is more accurate than a straight Kill Death ratio

Halo 5 takes that even further by calculating in the number of games played for that play list (still havent figured that portion out yet)

People seem to be mistaking this request for Kill to Death ratio benefits.
He is suggesting it for commidation purposes. If you shot at a vehicle or enemy but don’t get the kill you get an assist medal (Marine Assist, Elite Assist, Ghost destroyer assist, etc), and these medals don’t count towards the commendation.

Honeslty I thought it did count towards it, but I’m not that fussed that it doesn’t count.

Commendation or K/D, I stand by my point.

You want credit for the kill? Finish your kill. Simples.

…or steal someone else’s!

I want to clarify that I only think it should apply to vehicle and bosses not Spartans alone. I don’t care if I get an assist on a Spartan but if I get multiple for a vehicle that is possibly very rare to fight then I feel multiple assist for said vehicles/bosses should count.

i like trains

No such thing as stealing kills in team games , now in FFA on the other hand …

OMG for the amount of times I have gotten a assist in warzone is annoying. I have been aiming and shooting at the same guy the whole time for someone else to steal my kill. 343 plz fix and I’l -Yoink!- to get this fixed thx bye.

I posted something similair to this. No, they should just leave it how it is

The KDA you see in your Halo 5 service record is your average spread. The formula is ((kills+(assists/3))-deaths)/games played

KDA is way important than KD… I’ve spent tons of Strongholds matches just blasting charged Plasma Pistol shots into the middle pit at any opponent who dares enter. Those 10+ EMP assists and noob combos each match are what wins games.

Then I think is a good idea

Ah OK thank you. I was wondering how they calculate that
