I am getting more assists on Halo 4 than any other multiplayer game ever. I’m all for teamwork, and completely understand that this is a team based game, but its still a little irritating when I play a slayer match with 10 kills, 9 deaths and 21 assists. I doubt theres any thing 343 could really do about this. I just felt like ranting about it. Just knowing that I could have pulled a possible 31-9 out of that match is a little depressing.
It’s not you, its that hitting someone with like 1 bullet from the DMR is enough to get you an assist in this game. Previously it has taken a bit more damage so you just didn’t notice this happening as much.
Correct me if in wrong but weren’t assists in past games only awarded if you did 40%, or more, of the damage to an enemy player?

Confused…
- If U didn’t earn any more kills than 10 … Wouldn’t that be ur own fault? These assists u hate wouldn’t be turned into kills…soooo…
- Ur saying you would rather be 10k 9d and no assists than 10k 9d 21a ?
I noticed this too. I’ll get assists for the people I know I finished off. Like I rocket’d some guy strait on and got an assist for it.
That makes no since. I’m simply saying that each of those assists had the potential to be a kill. Also, in that particular match I was using the covenant carbine rifle (which im sure ill never hear and end to for mentioning that) and unloading almost entire mags on someones head, and a team mate would grab the one shot. It’s a slight balancing issue if you ask me.
