Assinine Betrayal Rules

So… Capture the Flag… Ragnarok… Betrayed 3 times by some -Yoink!-, no notice to boot him from the game.

I run him over once when he gets in my way while I’m driving a ghost and I am booted inside 2 seconds.

Why are we still dealing with limited programming like this?

fully agree its utter pants!
Got booted yesterday for firing a banshee bomb at a hog and took out one of our players too, I couldn’t even see him).

Gt booted today playing with a friend and neither of us could understand where the ‘betrayal’ came from, we watched the game in theatre and basically there wasn’t any, someone was betrayed, but it wasn’t by us and we got booted. In a 4v4 game its a bit crazy to do that anyway.

Booting is WAY WAY to sensitive now.

A good rule would be to not be able to boot a player whos driving a vehicle, unless they betray you 3 times. Either that or remove friendly fire entirely. Drive over someone and they get knocked out the way.

Had a Dominion game where a player went around and betraying all of us, but we never got the option to boot him. But he did end up booting someone who betrayed him in retaliation.

The player had a very negative kd and troll in his service tag so obviously it was his play style. Needless to say it was very annoying. I think he was able to stay in the game since he really only betrayed some of us once. He mainly went around getting us all to one shot.

Booting has been the same since Halo 3 (maybe even Halo 2) - the more people you have betrayed in the past on your account, then it is less likely you’ll have the option to kick someone when you’re betrayed and vice versa.

In short, stop betraying people yourself and you’ll get the option more often.

Yeah, I hate that too. I LIKE betraying my teammates, actually (so I can see XXXX BETRAYED XXXX), but I don’t really do it in playlists that aren’t Grifball, or unless someone on my team has their controller disconnected or something. I also have an evil laugh that sometimes goes with the betrayals.

But I’m not a 10 year old like some people think. I just betray just to screw around (say, everyone on the enemy team but 1 person quit or something).

Also, Infinity Slayer has Friendly Fire ON, yet you can still betray (or be betrayed by) splatter…

Err??

I think you have read that wrong, as I’m not complaining about me not getting an option to boot anyone?

Its way too sensitive.
