Is assault in Halo 4 at all? Haven’t seen anything on it.
Doesn’t look like it, shouldn’t be too hard to recreate though.
They haven’t included it.
Likely because they know we would reverse engineer it to make a less stupid version of CTF.
Couldn’t we just reverse engineer grifball and make it assault, because grifball was assault to begin with.
So far we have no confirmation of it being it, so assault is out.
We do however have new objective gametypes called Dominion and Extraction that seem to be melding a number of objective gametypes together to help reduce the number of playlists and gametypes for streamlining populations of players together.
I’d like some official word on assault and extraction before launch though.
WHHHHHYAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTT?! NO ASSAULT? WHAT THE FUNK?!!! You can’t just get rid of that! That’d be like taking out CTF or getting rid of Race AGAIN.
You can’t reverse grifball into it either because of all the shiznite that got warped into that.
There may be good news yet for Assault fans. That’s all I will say.
the assault gametype is gone, it is replaced with a gametype called “extraction”, its like having 2 bases to go plant some kind of forunner actefact at 2 specefic place in the map and when it is captured, another plant site is selected in map, but there is no round over.

I don’t see how you can even put race on the same level as Assault and CTF.

Grifball is using an Oddball instead. 
Gutted assault was always my favourite game type in Skirmish.

It could probably work.
Remembering the days on Halo PC multiplayer on that Silent Cartographer lookalike island map with assault. Those were the days. Guess this new forerunner device version of Assault doesn’t sound too bad.
