It is frequent that we run into people that choose to grab the ball and run it off the map when it is in their base, or near their base; or they have setup for the next ball and have one guy throw it off so they can grab it and push. I am not disputing that it is a smart play… it is a smart play; however, doing it excessively should lead to deducting one point. If the game is 0-0, you would drop to -1. Again, not saying to do it after they have done it one time… but three times… it’s like taking a safety in the NFL; the other team still gets two points.
Another thing is you should bring back sudden death if the team that’s losing has possession of the ball, only for so long as they maintain control… or since it’s dealing with computers, it may be harder for it to determine whether there is control or not, but do like the Halo 2 way where it would remain with five seconds until you held them off for that duration from picking it up.
