So are the AR, Storm Rifle and Suppressor weapons going to be able to compete against the BR, DMR, Light Rifle and Covie Carbine? I hope so, other wise no one will use them. And I don’t want to see people only using DMRs.
Players relying solely on the M395 DMR is a fool’s gambit. Situations call for diverse methods to carry out one’s objective, in this case the weapon a Spartan needs to dispatch an enemy. All of the rifles in Halo 4 have their strengths and I would hope the majority of players acknowledge and fall in love with that.
hopefully they wont be any more powerful than they were in reach
That’s out of the question. You know when it comes to distance, the Precision tramples over the automatic. But sorry, kid. Im Sticking to my one and only, lovable, DMR
Frankie has confirmed that for a highly skilled player, the DMR is the best primary weapon. Not even the BR compares.

Suppressor owns everything in close quarters.

Nice way of distorting what he said. He said, that the weapon you are used to is the best, For Bravo the DMR is better because it fits how he plays. For Frankie the BR, because it fits how he play.

I agree with Frankie. Right off the back, and i too even know that the DMR will be better than the BR. When it first came out, i was addicted to that weapon.

When did he EVER say that?
Sounds like some sort of misunderstanding because Frankie doesn’t seem like the kind of guy to go “LOL screw your weapons this one is bestest”

I wish this were the case, I really do. But while automatics have indeed been given a significant buff compared to previous games, precision weapons still, and always will, have an edge in the hands of anyone who’s at least average.

That’s again up to the individual player. An assault rifle can overwhelm an enemy using a weapon such as the DMR or Carbine due to the shock of being fired upon by an automatic weapon.

I’ll make sure to remember that when I leap down a level and spray you to death while you’re still trying to figure out what the hell is going on.
In halo reach the dmr is a good weapon but the game system of accuracy is bad,i dont like the dmr in halo reach after first shot,i hope that not happen in halo 4.
If the shots of the dmr after first goes to the center icon, this weapon will going to be a good “standard” weapon for all uses,i think.
Automatic weapons are easier to use than precision weapons, so naturally, they should be a bit worse.
Hopefully not, considering that they have no skillgap. The last time we had skillful automatics was 11 years ago.
At close range, they are good.
The big change to the AR is how much more damage it does to body shots. You can take out a no-sheilds guy in like 4 bullets, it’s crazy. The AR is surprisingly powerful when fired in short bursts, it can take down BR and DMR users at a surprisingly mid-range, although it’s still at a disadvantage.
What is really interesting is that the AR will take out shields faster than the precision rifles, but the precision rifles can still get a headshot before you can finish the kill with the AR. This makes me believe that at high levels of play, the AR will be used to set up kills for teammates who have headshot capable weapons.
From what I’ve seen, the Supressor and that ugly-*** Storm Rifle might do a bit more damage to shields, but they barely do anything when it comes to body shots. If they actually do damage shields more, I can see them being used even more efficiently for teamwork situations but leave the user even weaker by himself. IMO they’ll end up being the worst starting weapons, but we’ll see.
I’ll be using the Carbine.
I’m sure they’ll compete against them in the way they’re suppose to. That being close range. If you’re 50 feet away trying to spray someone with an AR and getting demolished then you only have yourself to blame.
Assault Rifle will kill the DMR user close range always, and I’m pretty sure about that. Have you seen the AR in action lately? It looks mad for not being useful over the years.
