Assault rifles overpowered and why 4 shot Br

Why are the assault rifles and SMG weapons as powerful as precision weapons like the pistol and BR. This should not be the case, it is way easier to get kills with the assault rifle so it should not have the range or the power of any precision weapon. People on Halo 5 or rewarded for picking up an SMG or crouching around corners, giving people that are using a skilled weapon (pistol, Br) no chance to win because the AR does the same damage and takes zero skill to use. The assault rifles should be on the map and there should be 2 only if any, and the SMG needs burning with fire because it is basically a power weapon and gives people that cannot shoot for shizzle an easy win just because they play like little nooby horrible people. Halo should be about 1 to 1 gun fights, if someone is crouching and we get into a gun fight with pistols or BR fine if I lose they were better, but not when they win because they have the AR. This need sorting because while the weapons are balanced like this Halo is closer to COD than Halo. Also having BRs on maps when people start with pistols is messed up, the BR then effectively becomes a power weapon. The weapons that are easy to pick up on the map should be balanced, precision weapons should be dominant (obviously because they take the most skill to use) and the Assault rifle spray and prey weapons should be weaker. This is because it take 4 body shots and a perfect head-shot to get a kill with the precision weapons and pretty much some drunk guy who can at least see to hit every shot with an AR. Nerf the AR weapons please for the love of god save Halo.

Typical. “Balance the automatics by making them not worth picking up!” “Halo should be a one-gun game!” “How dare someone have the nerve to use a gun meant to excel in CQC situations in a CQC situation!”

Whether Automatics need nerfing or not, I don’t care, but there’s gotta be a better argument to why they should be than “I keep losing in CQC situations with a Precision weapon against someone with an Automatic”.

the gun excels in more than just CQC though dude, people can spray that thing from miles away. The assault rifle was never a good gun in Halo, why are we now catering to the people that cannot aim. The magnum takes 4 precise body shot and a head shot to finish, you have to be a beast to hit all of those shots and not miss vs an AR that does not have to aim barely and does not have to hot a head shot. The range on the AR needs drastically reducing and definitely should not be a secondary weapon as it stands currently, it is basically enabling people that cannot shoot well to win games easily.

So because it was never good it should stay that way? This is not a good argument. The AR has worked fine for me since Reach. I never understand why people say it was terrible.

Anyway, you do know this is basically all a moot point right? 11/2 things will be changing, and today in the weapon tuning stream we found out exactly how. You should check it out 3PM Pacific Time on Halo is on Facebook Gaming
