Assault Rifle.

It seems that in every Halo game that includes an AR it is underpowered (only possible acception Halo CE if even that). In other Halos it seemed to be fairly well close range but absolute garbage at longer ranges. (I am talking about in multiplayer btw)

I think the accyracy of the assualt rifle for Halo 4 should be increased a little and i think the damage of the AR should be increased slightly to help it out more at a medium range.

I want the AR to be a powerhouse in close quarters ( not along the lines of the shotgun) but able to kill someone quick enough in close quarters before they get to double beatdown/pummel you…

Also while using the AR i would at least like to have a chance at mid range to effectively kill my opponent.

I just think the assault rifle could use an improvement.

What is your opinion on the AR? Do you like it how it is? do you think it’s overpowered? underpowered? What changes would you make?

I think Halo 1 had the best Assault Rifle in terms of power and balance, though the one in Reach isn’t too too bad (at least not compared to the piece of poop we had in Halo 3).

The AR takes little aiming ability to reach its highest potential. As such, precision weapons should be able to beat it even in its intended range.

Rock-Paper-Scissor gameeplay is not competitive.

I’d love to see a new AR behave more like the MA5B.
