Which do you guys think is better to use in multiplayer?
Assault Rifle
The suppressor goes wide quite a bit.
AR is better at range.
Suppressor hurts like hell up close.
It depends on the situation. The Suppressor is basically a sub-machine gun. Not useful in this game for anything but ultra-close range. It can beat the Assault Rifle, but only if you’re close enough. Figure out kill ranges yourself.
Suppressor is only usable if you’re sneaking around and popping up on people.
I only started using the assault rifle online haven’t used the suppressor yet only used that in campaign

This. You have to be aggressive with automatic weapons. Run up and hold down that trigger,a bit of jumping doesn’t hurt either. That’s my playstlye and it fits with the power of the suppressor. Mostly I do Assault Rifle just for fun and then Suppressor if I’m doing something like regicide.
Hey OP.
Change your gamer-tag, bro - there’s no place for sectarianism in Halo.
Haha about my gamertag, it was my brothers account years ago I have been meaning to change it.
The storm rifle beats both.

I can’t say that I’ve seen the Storm rifle used more than a handful of times. The AR gets more use because of its range. If we had some maps with really tight halls and short corridors, the Suppressor would at least see use on them. As it stands, I feel like the game is too open for anything but the AR to be of much use.
They both have their own ups and downs.
With the Assault Rifle, you can be a decent distance away from the target and still land enough bullets to kill them.
With the Suppressor, you pretty much have to be sitting on top of them to kill them with it…but when you are close enough, it kills very, very quickly.
For me, I prefer the Suppressor over the Assault Rifle…mainly because of the way it sounds. Well that, and I have a class specifically for infiltration purposes; I LOVE surprising people with this weapon while using Active Camouflage.

I swear to god the storm rifle does beat both, try some regicide with a storm rifle and jetpack, it makes mince meat of most people before they know what’s happening, it’s only con is like you said it’s accuracy.
Suppressor
I’ve seen someone on this forum put it accurately - that the Supp. is morel ike the SMG, and the assault rifle is - well - an assault rifle.
I love the assault rifle. The only map I use the BR on is Ragnarok.
The Suppressor is very easy to use, since its more spray and pray.
It lacks accuracy and damage, but its rate of fire is very quick, and thus can be more effective over a very short amount of time.
The Assault Rifle is slightly longer ranged, and can be burst in order to further its distance in increase its accuracy. However it shoots a fair bit slower making it more difficult to use.
Overall, suppressor is easier to use and kills faster at close distances, while the assault rifle is longer ranged and deals more damage per bullet, so if you use it correctly it can deal more damage at much greater distances.
If your good at the game, AR is much better. If not, and your level 22 (stupid placement, suppressor should be level 4 tbh) then its more preferable. It pairs up well with active-camo.
I’ve used both extensively and my personal preference would go to the AR. I’m not saying the Suppressor is bad by any means. They’re, in my opinion, almost equal. It is more about personal preference. The Suppressor and Assault Rifle both kill fairly fast at close range, but the Suppressor has the edge. The AR is definitely better at range. But, if you know how to move ( I hope you guys know what I mean), then you can win in almost any situation with either weapon. I chose the AR because I think it feels more “solid”. But once again, it is down to personal preference. If worst comes to worst, you and your opponent can melee each each other after shooting for 1 second or two and then you both die.
Storm Rifle. I think if you need to use an Assault Rifle for the longer range, you might as well go with a BR/DMR, etc. Suppressor feels too risky, and you can always replace it with the Boltshot. The Storm Rifle fits comfortably in between. It kills fast and you don’t have to worry about reloads or ammo. Plus it sounds awesome.
For a primary weapon, the AR. For a secondary to a precision weapon, the Suppressor.
AR. It wrecks up close, and it can compete admirably with precision weapons at mid-range if you learn to control your trigger finger well enough. Just remember to avoid engaging enemies out in the open unless absolutely necessary.
I actually enjoy using the storm rifle. If I had to choose between the AR or the suppressor, I would choose the AR.
