It is relevant because is disproves your point about AR being the best all around weapon.
There’s no reason in the world to nerf it if that statement isn’t true. It’s not overpowering the BR, sidekick or any other weapon in the game.
You just want it nerfed because you don’t feel like it requires doesn’t enough skill to use as a starter weapon. This sandbox shouldn’t be screwed over by misplaced pride.
Best all around weapon compared to other non power weapons ( and considering you spawn with it and have plentiful ammo it’s better all around anyway ). It clearly overshadows the sidekick, can contest the BR with no skill other than fanning the trigger ( wow such skill totally not a basic mechanic of FPS games ). I want it nerfed not because I feel it is too strong, but because it IS too strong.
It is literally the gun the MASTER CHIEF holds all the damn time. It is treated as HIS gun in every damn media much like how the Energy Sword is the Elite’s most iconic weapons. The only time he didn’t hold it was the Halo 2 boxart and there he held two SMGs.

The BR is Halo’s most iconic weapon, the AR isn’t even close considering the rocket launcher and sniper ( Bungie designs at least )
Because you feel it’s too strong. If you’re so skilled at this game, why bother trying to get the AR nerfed into the ground?
You clearly have an issue with respecting other players, so much so that you refuse to recognize skill based off of whether or not players use weapons YOU feel take skill to use.
Why should I compromise? my own skill is irrelevant as the AR harms the entire sandbox across all levels of play. The AR requires little if not no skill ( you held down RT and can melt people at medium range, such skill ) so why should it be powerful.
The AR melts you regardless of how well you shoot, individual skill does not discredit a weapon from being useless or overpowered. The H2 plasma rifle is bad regardless of player skill and by the same logic the Infinite AR is overpowered.

A good sidekick shot will out compete an AR. A good AR shot will out compete a BR and a good BR shot will out compete poor AR aim. That’s how it works.
This games balance will go down the drain fooling with you.
A low skill bullet hose is not meant to be medium range, that is counter to a skillful fun arena sandbox. The AR is effective at a range much too high and is harmful to the sandbox.

BR only beats AR at cross map which the AR cannot do well, but at mid range, an AR actually beats BR through pure firerate alone.
The real issue with AR is that it automatically invalidates everything within its kill range.
Vs Needler, AR wins outright if both players spot each other and start firing.
Vs Bulldog, AR wins hands down with superior range and firerate despite Bulldog being mid ranged as a shotgun
Vs Pulse Carbine, HAHA
Vs Plasma Pistol, HAHA
Vs Sidekick the AR wins through pure Fire rate
Vs Mangler, you better hit that 3 shot perfect or you’re dead before you even begin your 4th shot.
Vs Disruptor, HAHA

Halo is not a “this gun works at this range” type of game, halo has always balanced it’s weapons around skill usage, this is why the H3 BR is viable at all ranges. ( it’s allowed to do so because it requires more skill than the AR ever could )
so why are we making a low skill bullet hose medium range?
