Hello! I’m YouNoWho22. And this is my idea for “Assault On Requiem” A Big team battle integration game inspired by “Planetside 2”. Or those of you who haven’t heard of PS2, It is a MMO game in which players assume the roles of soldiers fighting in any of three factions at war. the goal of the game is to gain and hold control of different bases and continents. So here is my idea along with a story for this idea:
(Please inform me if any of this doesn’t fit in or make sense as I know some but not all of the halo lore)
Shortly after the events of Halo 4, The Covenant are no longer fighting alonside the promethians as the didact has been defeated and is no longer controlling them. so the covenant are establishing a halo ring around requiem to elimiate the majority of the promethians as well as the remaining unsc forces on and orbiting requiem. This wages a three way war between The Covenant as they try to establish a halo ring, The Promethians as they struggle as A Militia without their leader, as well as the UNSC trapped in the middle of a war to which they are thrown into.
(this is just a beta type story to fit into)
So. Here’s my idea: People post on this thread as to which faction they would like to be assigned to: UNSC, Covenant or Promethians. there are no faction leaders. Just everybody represents their factions.
I can make a map/grid of different areas to which battles are “taking place”.
at the start of the each week (Monday) I will edit this first post with updated faction rosters.
and every saturday. so Long as you are available to play. you should play at least 1 matchmade BTB game. you should then reply with the waypoint game link to show wether you won or loss. you can go in by yourself. but grabbing friends from your faction is recommended. as the first game of btb you play is the one you should report. so please report only the first game. if you lose. that will count as one loss on your factions record, you should specify which part of the map/grid you “battled” on and it will count as a loss on that sector. if you win. whoever reported the game should specify which part of the map/grid they “battled” on. meaning it increases the total amount of wins on that sector for your team. once your team has 3 wins on that sector, that faction has control. they can be over thrown by another faction getting 4 wins. and they can be overthrown by 5 and so on. you do not need to battle one person or a entire team of people from the enemy faction. just the first matchmade btb game on saturday. if a faction losses. they get one less amount of wins on which ever sector they have the most wins on. so heres an example:
there are 9 sectors. named 1,2,3,4,5 and so on. at the very start of this thing unsc controls #1. Covenant controls #4. and Promethians controls number #7. each faction automatically has 3 wins on their starting sectors. even before any games are played. lets say unsc loses their first game. the now have only 2 wins on sector 1. they win their second game. they can choose wether to apply that win to sector 1. to apply that win on a free sector. or to challenge another faction and put 1 win on one of their sectors. im using this system so a member of any faction doesnt have to play only other faction members. because if they lose. its still beneficial to the other factions because it makes sectors easier to over throw and control. so people can just lone wolf it. or they can get in touch with other members of their faction to play, strategize and decide which sectors to focus on based on who has control. once any faction has control of all 9 sectors. they win. and another season will start shortly after that. So. if you’re interested. please reply with your gamertag and the faction of your choosing. Here’s the rosters:
Update 2/10/2014
I’m thinking, so long as we can get at least 4-8 on each faction that this should be a faction vs faction thing instead faction vs matchmakers.
