Remember when Assault Carbine came up and about a few months ago and such? People are telling me it was renamed and has inevitably become the Storm Rifle, and/or the Rail gun. Does anyone know if it’s either of the two or a complete other weapon altogether that we have yet to see?
It was renamed as the storm rifle. It was in a bulletin or something.
I’m not sure. I havnt seen any of the players use a new looking weapon in the gameplay. I think that idly was the placeholder name for the storm rifle.
Yeah, like others are saying, it was just a placeholder name for the Storm Rifle.

Yeah it looks like it was a placeholder for the storm rifle. I was hoping they were putting in the gun on the Ghosts of Onyx cover. The storm rifle looks sick btw.
Storm Rifle. The Assault Carbine was billed to be a ‘fan favorite getting a revamp’ or something of the sorts.
As far as I have seen, the Storm Rifle is the answer to those wishing for a MA5BAR to return.
True it overheats before reaching 60 rounds like the original AR could fire all those years ago (still does), but when using fire control, I bet the SR lasts for a very long time.
It’s just that the overheating prevents it from being too useful as a spray and pray.
Which, that will work with the SR as is, but it won’t work beyond melee range doubled or so. It’s a good SMG-type weapon.
I’m hoping the AR feels more like an AR-type, or at the very least, the newly niched PDR-type.
