Assault carbine theory

343 has stated in the most recent podcast that it seems similiar to a gun from before, just renamed. They also said it is no longer a sheild depleter, but an actual weapon. The smg seems to fit this description. What do you guys think?

Probably another Plasma Waffle.

human version of the plasma repeater only useful lol

Im guessing a SMG replacement.

It’s going to be a plasma rifle type weapon, for sure.

Can it be the Assault Carbine that we see on the cover of “Ghost’s of Onyx”? Just curious.

Probably a replacement for the Plasma Repeater/Rifle, but I hope that it is the silent SMG from ODST.

Works great on shields. Must have a fast rate of fire. I’m guessing an SMG type weapon.

I hope lol

I’m agreeing with the SMG replacement idea.

It’s an SMG

An accurate, more damaging version of the SMG?

Probably an SMG-like human version of the plasma rifle/repeater. You can’t expect the AR to do all the handy work in close-quarters combat.

Either the MA5K from Ghosts of Onyx, or the modded Covenant carbine from Headhunters.

Theory?

Any one who knows what a carbine is will know is the new SMG.

halo 1 assault rifle maybe.

There’s a good chance it’s the gun on the cover of Ghosts of Onyx, the MA5K Carbine.

It was mentioned that it was more of a “finishing” rather than a “depleting” weapon. Most definitely might be a slower rate of fire SMG.

Plasma pistol seems to fit this description. But considering theres all ready the plasma rifle and repeater there would be no need for a plasma carbine.espesicaly sinces theres all ready a covy weapon named the carbine.

Biggest depleter in halo history, THE SPIKER, usually didn’t get any kills with it unless dual wield, and it is not effective except for depletion in reach, also the oficial name for the spiker is the type 25 carbine (i think i have the right number), look it up on halo wiki, that makes the most sense to me

it could also be the needler, because of the needle rifle it could be considered a “carbine” since it is a small rifle version of the needle rifle
