In terms of the many game modes we lack I think Assault is the best one to start with as it caters to both competitive players and casual players. Competitive Team Arena players would benefit from one bomb and standard assault and the casuals would benefit from a grifball playlist whether it be permanent or a weekend playlist.
If this were the case then we would also likely see the gravity hammer added as a weapon in both warzone and for grifball so that’s weapons covered.
If the whole theme went along the brute mentalitly maybe we could increase the sandbox with other brute weapons and vehicles. In fact a brute themed grifball and grifball arena would be pretty cool although they will probably stick with the breakout speedball theme.
They already have assault, its neutral flag just like in breakout.
I’m really excited for what’s to come!
This is probably my second favorite Halo behind Reach with Halo 4 in 3rd…and it just keeps getting better

Not quite the same, assault required either you to be in the zone for a period of time for the bomb to arm ala halo 2 or you had to guard the bomb once placed for period of time without disarmament ala halo 3.
I suppose the argument against assault is that it is too similar to CTF, just like you could argue KOTH and Terretories is similar to Strongholds
well in one of the community updates they showed a pic of the one bomb assault bomb as a preview of what they were working on. so I’m pretty sure that’s the one game type they were talking about. I’d much rather have koth or oddball first.
I think it’s most likely to be Assault. That way they can add Grifball at the same time, or relatively soon afterwards, and appease the most fans.
Grifball was already confirmed in the works, which means the Gravity Hammer will follow as well. I’d also assume this means ball-related gametypes will soon follow such as Assault and Oddball as well.
