I cannot get the Assassins Skull achievement to unlock. The skull appears and I am able to pick it up but the stealth camouflage elites do not appear beaide it. I’m wondering if anyone else has had this problem because as of yesterday every other skull has worked fine.
I am having the same issue. I have played Regret multiple times on various difficulties in an effort to get the Assassins Skull. Every time I reach the skull, the camouflage elites are missing. When I pick up the skull, the achievement remains locked. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.
I found this thread Googling the same problem. No surprise, it’s not fixed yet.
Any word on this being fixed yet? No dancing invisible elites for me, or the achievement unlocking when picking up the skull…

Sorry to bring this on up. I’m trying to get this one as well. Have tried both Normal and Legendary modes.
Skull appears however I don’t see dancing swords thus the achievement doesn’t pop.
Does it have to be done on single player or can Co-op work? We’ve found other skulls in co-op.
Been old must be in Legendary, however others have said normal worked for them.
Anyone with resent experience in this?
Having problems with this skull and IWHBYD as well.
I had the same issue. I played the map several times on Legendary till it finally worked. I can’t tell you why tho. If the stealth Elites aren’t there tho the achievement won’t pop.

Ok, thanks. Going to try a new video that was posted, seems that legendary is definitely needed. I’ll try with just scarab only skull on this time.
Did you get yours while co-op or single player?
I remember this happening to me. I had to replay the entire mission on Legendary without any skulls on before it worked for me. Hope they fix it. I don’t want anybody else going through that pain.
OK, finally got this skull. On CO-OP Legendary, NO SKULLS enabled!
Have to battle thru and finally the dancing swords appeared. Yay.
The official Wiki for OG H2 on Xbox says Assassins skull will appear on any difficulty but if you aren’t on Legendary the Elites won’t appear and the skulls effect won’t activate (or count for the achievement in this case).
Where is this wiki at? Ya we tried Normal level and that didn’t seem to work tried with and with out skulls as well on normal. Finally figured we hadn’t tried Legendary with zero skulls enabled. Finally, they appeared.

There’s a note listed under the Assassins skull effect that says it appears on Co Op and any difficulty but there wont be elites, a flash, or whoosh effect when grabbed, meaning the skull isnt activated.
Thanks, so ya, seems that legendary with no skulls works in CO-OP. Thanks for this link. Will check it out. May help on IWHBYD skull.
Hella old thread but just coming by to confirm that having just sputnik enabled did not work for me, but having no skulls on period did.

That’s good to know! Hopefully this helps others who are also experiencing this one. Best to make a new thread though to announce your findings. Be careful as reviving ancient threads like this is against forum rules.
