I just watched a video of all the Halo 5 assassinations, and dang, there’s some really sick ones. Adding customizable assassinations might be my favorite thing 343 has done. Which do you want to see make a return? Or, if you’re if you’re the creative type, what’s a new assassination you’d like to see?
For me, that Supernova one’s gotta come back. That has to be the coolest takedown I’ve ever seen.
What about the Reach assassinations?
The way I’d like to see them in Infinite, is like Reach. Depending on where you are behind the person, and what angle, it determines the assassination. But then it would be cool to have customizable assassinations too.
Im devastated assassinations have been in Halo for a decade now and there isn’t one that involves the spikes on a needler and stabbing.

Maybe some fatality mortal kombat style assassinations or possibly including vehicles into the mix like a slow motion splatter would be cool

The way assassinations work was changed up in Halo 5. I don’t fully understand how it works, but unlike Reach, where you can get different animations if you melee from the right or left, in Halo 5 you have the standard…and then you have an additional one if you aim the melee at the target’s head or something. I noticed that when assassinating a Promethean Soldier, I would always get the usual animation unless I used the melee from the furthest distance possible, which almost always resulted in a different animation. I think it was not the distance itself, but where my aim was as a result of that distance, which would be on the target’s head as mentioned earlier.
Still, regardless of how assassinations work in Halo Infinite, assuming they return, I think we should get new assassinations for Brutes! The only game in which Brutes could be assassinated was Halo Reach, but it was tricky to pull off, and there was only one animation. And now they are back after being absent from two mainline games…

It would be awesome to have multiple assassinations for Brutes. Like you said, it’s hard to assassinate a Brute in Reach because you can only do it if they aren’t aware of your presence.
Maybe the weapon-specific assasinations like with sword and hammer
Personally I’d love to see an assassination where it would look like you slitting someones throat and afterwards just shoving a grenade in the slitted part of the throat and then just stab them right between the eyes but instead doing preforming one assassination with one player your doing two players at the same time btw please make it legendary and make sure that instead of showing guts flying it would just be two skulls flying instead while the body hits the floor and the brain matter stays in the helmet.
I hope Supernova comes back. Same with the Reach Assassinations
A good walk up and right hook the enemy would be neat. Show a Spartan’s brutal strength without using weaponry.
