I’m starting to get concerned with Halo Infinite’s multiplayer, content wise. Considering it’s live service I do not want a repeat of Destiny 1 and 2 at launch, a great game to mindlessly play, but a shell of what it can be.
I have high hopes for the campaign because of the team working on it, I do not share the same hopes for the multiplayer. The way 343i talks, the way they keep quiet about information we would like to hear before it’s too late, etc.
I have to commend and thank Tom for being so up front and transparent about them not being at launch, I wish all of 343 were this transparent and jaded with us.
If it hurts, it hurts; I want to know. If you want a player first game, then you need to know our opinions on aspects you’ve taken out or kept in.
From what I’ve seen of the UI, customisations, settings and options? I’m more than impressed, they’ve taken so many steps forward in regards to that. But… It doesn’t seem to be the case with certain parts of the game. What else have they taken out or put in? Where’s the vehicles? The weapons? I get that they want to save some for launch but jeez, I miss the day’s where you could read about every sandbox weapon, map and vehicle in Halo from a magazine before launch.
They are having flights focused on certain aspects, this flight will be more about Bots. In the future flights will involve more players and certainly will have vehicles.

I mean it cooooooooooould be it’s just not in this build…
They’ve specifically said that they are bring vehicles back to arena but that just aren’t in this build, and that the weapon sandbox was purposely scaled back in this build as well. I’m not too worried.
Right now its just assassinations that are missing.You’ve seen the rest and said it yourself, the game looks good.
One missing feature does not mean the entire game will be absolutely -Yoink-. Better yet, its free to play. If you’re (reasonably) sceptical you don’t need to pay a cent at launch.

They confirmed that playable elites won’t be coming back, assassinations on the other hand will be just not at launch.

Are you sure? I thought I heard that they haven’t ruled them out yet! They just won’t be there at launch! I heard it on halo’s YouTube video #Ask343 about infinite.

I could be wrong, I just heard apparently they weren’t coming back indefinitely.

Im sure they will have an option to disable assassination animations for those who don’t want them active. In pro games, in Halo 5, assassinations are already likely disabled, they talked about an instance in the technical preview livestream today.
As for playable elites, fairly certain they have confirmed that they have no plans to make elites playable.

What they said specifically was “Halo Infinite multiplayer is very much a Spartan story, and at this time there are no plans to add Elites. But never say never.” Which is pretty much just there way of saying “We don’t want to tell you it’s never, but it’s never.”
