Assassinations in Halo 4

Here are some questions for assassinations and damage in the future:

1)Anyone want first person assassinations as an option?
2)Invincibility from allies when performing so they can’t take your kill?
3)Use D-Pad for assassination animation if you want to assassinate old school?
4)Combat knife that can match Energy sword, and performs assassinations?
5)More assassinations?
6)More dispersed angles from to ensure you see the assassination you want to see?
7)Sounds like bones cracking during assassinations?
8)More blood? Possibly gore?
9)Damage shown on the character overtime from bullets and punches?

I especially like the invicibility from teamates idea. Hate getting kill stolen while assasinating.

  1. That would remove the novelty of the assassination. No need for it to be an option.

  2. No. That’s part of the game. That’s like saying that enemies should be invincible to your teammates once you start damaging them, so that your friends don’t steal your kills.

  4. No. We don’t need more redundant weaponry.

  6. I guess, but considering how large the reticle is, you’ll only have a vague chance of hitting on the correct target.

  1. I mean in halo reach, the difference between bashing in the back (old school) and animations are to small and can’t be controlled that well. If i just want to punch them in the back quickly, it is too easy to accidentally perform an assassination animation. So have an alternate button for the animation or something…

  2. For example, surviving many battles and not dying would show scrapes, bents, and breaks in your armor, like master chief’s chest in halo 3, only on the knee pads, shoulders, helmet, etc.

I wouldn’t mind a customizeable assassination feature in the armory there would be defaults for each type of assassination
(one player in the air, both players on flat ground , spartan to elite ect) similar to the system which is going to be in assassins creed.

THIS. I love assassinations. At times I wish I could shut them off during competitive, close-quarters gameplay, so that I’m not stuck in an animation. The next best thing would be the “Press D-pad to hop out of assassination animation” option.

Competitive play aside, more assassinations would be cool!
