I think assassinations should be brought back for season 2. ‘Lone wolves’ seem like the type of spartans that would be doing assassinations

Nah. Assassinations would make a comeback when they add in a Ninja Fracture Armor to rival the Samurai Fracture Armor.

There hasn’t been any discussion about assassinations in any of the new updates we received so its a safe bet to assume that they won’t be in for season 2 but maybe season 3 or sometime next year

Assassinations need to come back. I know they tried going a bit more classic but we didn’t want that much.

If they’ve not announced it, don’t expect it for several seasons. 343i are not in the business of surprising us with unannounced additions to the game, their to do list is way too damn high. It might come eventually but certainly not season 2 or 3.

No. The last thing this game needs is some new mechanic that will break it further. They still haven’t fixed the issue of controller suddenly not recognizing any of it’s settings on PC unless I exit Steam and relaunch it.
As I’ve said before somewhere else: they needs to patch the leaks or the ship will sink. And it’s starting to get bad.
Iirc 343 wanted to have Assassinations at launch, but they were too broken (probably because of desync or something) and had to be scrapped just like tons of the Campaign. Iirc they want to add them eventually, but it’s not a priority at all. 343 will likely add Assassinations back when they’re finished with more important things, then they’ll start adding all the assassination animations from Halo 5 into the shop
Just imagine getting Assassinations right now with desync, and people just teleporting all over during the animation. If you thought melee snapping was bad, Assassinations would be comedy

Their engine doens’t allow for them to add in playlists or change the challenge system without breaking things…

Im fairly certain they planned on monetizing assassinations and are either now reconsidering or waiting to hopefully let community anger die down.

I don’t even know where to begin with this but Ninja Spartans, even in the Tenrai fracture, make literally zero sense. Samurai were chosen for a very distinct, specific reason.
I’ll only be fine with assassinations if I can disable doing them on my end. I don’t care enough about dancing around people like a ballerina dancer during a kill. I just want to get my kill and move onto the next target.

If they bring them back im sure it’ll be the same style as halo 5 where you can disable the feature
I mean yeah they have a lot of technical debt but that doesnt mean that assassinations will never come back
To be fair their not in the business of telling us ANYTHING about the game until they are about to release it lmao.
The only reason we knew as much as we did about any of the events is because of Leakers.
Other wise they only news that would come out would be through the week leading up to releases.

Samurai are frontline warriors, who you send into battle on horseback and on foot to clash sword-on-sword. They were also a social class and were nobility.
Ninjas were clans of men and women of commoners who also specialized in subterfuge, assassins and stealth mercenaries who would sell you information that you would want to use against a rival Samurai clan or sneak somewhere to open the gates to a fortress for your sieging army to be let in.
Of the many independent bands of Ninja was one led by Hattori Hanzo, who was famous for being both great at his job BUT for also being surprisingly loyal as most Ninja during the Sengoku Jidai period were just essentially mercenaries. Whereas when given a counter-offer to switch sides; Hattori refused and remained loyal to those he sided with; partially because he also sided with them morally and not just as an employer-employee contract.
Of the 343 Clans of the Tenrai Universe, we do not know if all of them were Samurai clans or if some are Ninja or Shinobi clans. Perhaps we can someday see a Ninja Armor Core further down the line should Fractures Tenrai make a return and seek to add even more new content.
It would be an interesting method to reintroduce the Hayabusa armor, if Microsoft can get another cross-over going again and have 343 make edits to the cut Halo 4 Hayabusa armor design to make it better fit the art norms of Halo Infinite.
And Spartans are also known for their stealth missions. Especially the Headhunters that went deep behind enemy lines for sabotage and HVT assassination operations.

Like, lets assume you did,
You were trying to shoot down the idea for no other reason than being spiteful.
They explained to you why it would be a cool addition and act as a pathway to Reintroducing some of the older armors. Its an idea to add new things to the game. That’s great for everyone, Old armors brought back to life, new Ninja Event to celebrate it, and the Ninja medal.
Its a a great idea, it would be fun, and works in universe.
And you’re only response to it is to take offense?
You need to get over yourself, its unbelievably annoying.

Maybe just me being a halo 3 player mostly before infinite, but I find assassinations really cringey. I’m happy without, although seems I’m in the minority on this one
