I think its great! I leave them on because man there is nothing like taking a few players out and sneaking in an assassination, Its brutal !!!
I haven’t done it once in about 38 hours of arena gameplay!
Assassin should get the kill, Kill thief should get an assist & the yoink medal, at best.
Assassinations take way too long
Animations are for fun and partly for glory when being able to assassinate. Toggle your assassinations off if its such an issue. Im sure they made sure that you could toggle it for people like you that feel that way. I for one enjoy the assassinations.
I just wish it was a little more consistent. Unless it isn’t part of the design.
I always thought if you tapped the melee button it did the quick melee kill. But if you held it for a little while it would do the assassination.
If not, then that is what they need to add as an option. Because I still want to do a long -Yoink- assassination in some scenarios. And a super quick kill in others.

I do not care if I do them or they do…but Assassinations are great!!
All I know if your not my teammate and being assasinated Im putting bullet in you if you haven’t hit the ground yet.
Because if their teammate interrupts your assassin attempt they will take you out.
1 is none but 2 is one.
In combat the objective is to kill your enemy and save your team. And win… Focus on defeating the enemy not points alone

I have fixed this assassination stealing problem but just playing with fireteams full of friends, Works for me because my friends aren’t aholes.
it depends on what assassination you have, like I use Emeals Regards (hope I spelled that right) and it is really quick so don’t haft to worry about it too much

The best assassinations are in The Last of Us multiplayer on the PS3/PS4. If you haven’t played it and you have a PS4 do yourself a favor and pick it up. Absolutely nothing like a shiv to the neck. We use to have shiv only custom games that were so much fun.
Would love to see an Assassination only game mode in Halo MP. Can’t remember if it was ever done in previous iterations. Radar off, hiding in the cracks and crevices of the maps Predator style just waiting for the moment to strike. Melee/Spartan Charge/Ground Pound allowed. No guns.

Well there is assassination tower in Halo Reach, Its sorta like that. But with a LOT more Emo people.

I would argue that’s more your teammates’ fault for being ****s over 343i for implementing assassinations into the game. Halo: Reach was way worse with getting your assassinations stolen solely because of the “Yoink” medal that it entailed. Ever since the Yoink was removed from Halo, Assassination kill stealing has dwindled quite a bit by comparison. Again I would argue it’s not even remotely 343i’s fault that your assassinations get stolen because of your -Yoink- teammates. It’s just something you have to live with.
P.S. assassinations always have been useless. They’re just there for show.
Assassinations are alright. If you don’t want your kill being taken just turn them off
