Assassination!

Hey, so a bunch of my friends have been asking me “How the hell did you get Venator (so fast)?” I’ve been playing for like two weeks (I was super late on the Halo 4 train, but I’ve been a fan since 3) and have unlocked the “Assassin-Master” commendation along with Venator. Of course, this isn’t super impressive or something, but I’m here to give a little insight on how to assassinate enemies efficiently.

First off, the most IMPORTANT item that you will need is the ‘Mobility’ tactical package (or support, I can’t remember). I cannot express how frustrating it is to be mere seconds away from a nice assassination, only to be thwarted by time, me getting sniped, a friendly stealing the kill, or simply the target noticing me. Those precious few seconds you have by unlimited sprint can give you a immense leg up on your opponent, and the package is great for if your kill goes sour.
Second, ACTIVE CAMO. I know, there are a LOT of people that say it is pointless, but believe me, it is AMAZING to simply have a little cloak in an intense firefight, and the occasional “MLG” that thinks they’re so pro that they don’t even need their motion tracker.
THIRD. You need to learn the difference between a player and a hologram. This is vital, especially when your target employs it as a mean of defense against another player. Holos will NOT attack, nor will they sprint, throw a grenade, melee, flee or move in another direction than straight.
Fourth, as an assassin, you need to learn to distinguish when to bring a knife to a gunfight or to bring a gun to a knifefight, so to speak. I’ve died too many times charging after someone, when a simple 5 BR shots would have netted me an extra kill.
Fifth, use small vehicles! A Ghost is usually okay, but a usually underestimated Mongoose is the assassin’s favored vehicle. It’s small, very maneuverable, generally very guiet, and will not draw much attention from the likes of Banshees, Manti or snipers.
Finally, if you’re still not a Venator by SR-50, I’d advise going for either Wetwork or Stalker as your first specialization. Wetwork’s handy Stealth mod allows for quieter footsteps and faster assassinations, as well as a less visible profile under Promethean Vision. Stalker makes use of the Nemesis mod, which allows you to visibly see your last killer, and for you to deliver some sweet Retribution, if you get my drift >:D
Good luck to you, assassins, and feel free to post other strategies or responses!

Wield your blade well.

Go back in time and pre order from Best Buy.

Lol whut? Oh, you mean RPTR. Come on, most people can distinguish the real Venators. Plus, NO KILL beats the sheer thrill of KNIFING your opponents.

The Vanilla Venator looks like crap Raptor looks so much better.

Vanilla? I use full red so anything I wear looks awesome >:D but it’s not just the armor, it’s the achievement of a lot of assassinations. And you can still by the code of raptor off ebay.

Thank you!!! And all it required was just putting 5 dollars down at Best Buy in the U.S. before the game shipped.

Nah, I still disagree. I like normal more :3
