I thought that 343i got rid of Yoinks all together and made sure if you got an assassination, you are guaranteed the kill, and nobody can take it from you, or did they take it out, because too many kids cry about that?

They took out the yoink medal (probably because it was a medal that encouraged kill stealing). They obviously haven’t made it so that once you enter into the animation the kill is yours though, because I have been “yoinked” many times.
no because i assassinated sombdy and when i was almost finished somebody head shot him and i dident get the kill they should make it were you cant steal assassination kills

So hold on, even though they talked about doing that, they decided not too? that is really messed up, because Assassinations are extremely difficult to get, and its disgusting when people take them whenever they want just for fun
Need to bring back the medal. If not, make the assassination guaranteed unless the other team kills you, which should be rewarded with a show stopper medal.

I don’t care about people stealing assassination but i still need the commendation lol.
Well so far I have not been yoinked, maybe because I’m smart enough not to do them in front of team-mates. If you get yoinked in FFA then it’s your fault.
Commendations come in time, just by natural play, Assassinations are not as hard as you would think, in team games maybe, but fire up some Regicide and you will be good to go to get them
I love the rage over Team Chat when you Yoink an Assassination, its so funny hearing them moan and cry then attempt to betray you in anger

Its seemingly happening to me all the time… I keep getting games where people follow me around, and wait for me to mow people down then finish them off, so Its frustrating when they do it when I get an assassination…

In Reach it was the voice audible sound made when you stole someone’s kill lol
Situation is worse because of the stupid spawn system having team mates spawn next to you, so even if you want to be a lone wolf assassin you can’t.

If you want to be a lone wolf assassin play Regicide
I do hope they fix it because my eradicator side will switch on and off when I see an enemy getting assassinated and I just headshot the guy out and steal the kill. I feel bad about it, so fix it 343!
Had one complete and utter -Yoink!- decide to yoink me using his rocket launcher… He got a yoink and a betrayal, even more annoying that I didn’t even get the option to boot him!
Assinations are not that hard, it just depends on the mode. BTB wont have many due to the number of people running around at one time making it a lot harder. Especially when team mates are shooting at a unit already. Objective games are a lot easier to get them in because people are focused on a particular area and tend to ignore certain directions thinking they are safe. And the lower player count means its easier at times to move in to position for one, as its less eyes to spot you coming.
And the simple reason they are not automatic is so that a team member can kill the enemy trying to get one on a team member.
