If I turn off assassinations, will all future assasinations become Ninja kills? I can’t get myself to do it, but I may try. Assassinations are so darn satisfying.
Well it will make getting the ninja kill easier as animations are turned off. I turn my assassinations off when playing FFA as it’s best not to have the longer kill time in an animation.

So the assassination becomes a ninja kill?
Turning off the assassinations will make it so even if you hold the melee button, you’ll get the “Beat Down” (ninja medal), and not the assassination medal. You cannot make any progress towards assassination commendations if you turn them off is my understanding.

Basically you will always get the beat down medal instead.

No, when people say ninja kill that is when you know some one is coming up behind you and you jump backwards over their head and you get the beatdown instead of them. So actually now that I think about it if you just count the act of jumping backwards over their head and killing them as a “ninja” doesn’t matter if it’s a beatdown or animated assassination really… But animated assassinations take more time and can be stolen from you.

I’m the kind of person who will leave it on everywhere because it is so satisfying to see the victim being spun around then exploding like Bowser in SM64. Hell, I’ll even chase opponents down to do it, even in ranked playlists. I’m actually kind of a scummy player, now that I think about it (but I still hate smurfing with a passion).
I’m trying to get the assassination commendation right now, but I usually have it turned off.
You will get the “beat down” medal instead of the assassination medal
Assassinating is so awesome, especially if ya assassinate da Warden. I have mine turned off tho, but occasionally I’ll turn it on just to see the assassination I have.

Yeah, for some reason I know exactly how many wardens I’ve assassinated. 33 in total.
