Assassination Stealing

Why do you like stopping people right in the middle of an assassination.

The Steelers are doing what?

People like to yoink their teammates because:
A) They are -Yoink- holes.
B) They want to add to their own stats.
C) All of the above.

Sometimes I’ve done it by accident, especially if my shields are down and things are chaotic.

Because assassination animations and ground pounds are the worst thing to happen to the game play in Halo since they removed dual wielding weapons. I try to steal every single assassination I can. The only reason I don’t have them disabled is because my Spartan company hasn’t finished that commendation yet. Should be done this week and I can turn that crap off forever.

But in the meantime, use 104 Ways To Die. It only takes 17 frames for you to get a guaranteed kill so there is only about 2/3 of a second for your team mates to steal it. It’s by far the fastest animation in that regard.

Until it pops up on the kill feed saying “Shadow Wolf720 has killed …” it’s not YOUR kill.

I am one of the few gamers who believes that the term “kill stealing” is more laughable than anything. It doesn’t exist. There’s a sign on my commanding officer’s door that says, “No one cares who gets the credit. One team, one fight,” And I find that to be very apt here. That said, most of the time I’ll leave the person getting the assassination alone and will only actively go out of my way to “steal” it if they are in imminent danger.

I wish they couldn’t steal assassinations, just like what DOOM does for their Glory Kills.

If the game is close I’m not waiting around for you to finish “your” kill. If we have a good lead or it’s warzone I’ll stand there watching, but in arena speed counts.

Why do I like showstopping my own teammates? Because of the 2 reasons listed below:

  • They are about to be assassinated by the enemy - -yoink- happens(possible pun intended), and sometimes I can’t control what happens. But overall, I normally don’t steal assassinations. But as stated before, if I do, 99.9% chance it was unintentional.

I normally don’t yoink, since the victim dies either way. I will, however, take the kill if I was killing them already, and some greedy fool tries to backstab them. When they do that, they don’t deserve it, since they did nothing to earn it, and it doesn’t further the goal of victory in any form.
My one biggest problem with assassination is that some glorify it such that they’ll chase a guy across an entire map just for a chance to get those style points. They could kill the guy five times faster conventionally, and the chase hardly ever shows results. People will see a guy’s back from 75 meters away and think, “He’s vulnerable! I have to assassinate him, because it looks cool!”
If you happen to get an opportunity to assassinate someone (i.e. the victim is isolated and unaware of your presence), go for it. Otherwise, it’ll be stolen, shut down, and/or distract from the ultimate goal of victory.

I wish they would just make it that you either get credit for the kill if someone kills the guy you are assassinating or make it to where the enemy is immune to all fire during the animation. Viola, no more stealing.

Some times in the heat off it I’m not sure who assassinating who and I’m maybe trying to save a team mate.

if the enemy could take you out and it’s endangouring you.

Some times I instinctively shoot at the enemy colour as soon as I see it. I might give a couple shots then stop cause im really not doing it on purpose.
