Assassination Lag

Sometimes when I melee a player from behind it zooms out as if I’m about to assassinate the player but then stops and zooms back in. After that happens the player becomes aware I’m behind them and turns around and starts shooting. This is VERY annoying and I wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing this as well.

I’ve had this happen to me lots. Any explanations?

Something in the physics prevents an assassination from taking place. It gets started and goes NOPE. Happens also when a ghost hits an assassination, everything goes wonky. Physics man.

Here’s an example. Luckily I got him on the second time round. It is happening a lot.
