Assassinations are nice. The greater variety of assassinations are sweet
And the feeling you get when a “teammate” intentionally shoots, or punches your target for the sole purpose of robbing you of your assassination is greater.
I’d love to see something done about this.
I know I’m not the only person who has this problem.
There’s no way they could even know if it was intentional or not. Shooting or punching an enemy is so automatic there’s no way I can stop myself from doing it.
The guy that is being assassinated should be invincible to the enemy team, while he’s being assassinated. The only reason anyone yoinks people is to be a -Yoink- just because they’re feeling like it, otherwise it’s an accident.

I disagree because their would be no way to save teammates, I think it should found as a betrayal , giving the person it happens to the option to decide
I hate it when teammates run up and do that on purpose. When I see a teammate assassinate someone, I stand there and start teabagging. Why? As a way to say “nice job” to my mate, and also so the guy getting assassinated gets to not only watch his own assassination, but also gets to see some dingus do a celebratory -Yoink!- dance in honor of his death … as a way to rub it in, I suppose. It’s teamwork.
Battlefield assassinations do this right. The victim’s teammates can still attempt to save the him, but once the animation begins, only the assassin can get the kill.
I am pretty sure its been this way ever since they added Assassinations to the Halo games. Sucks when teammates steal your kill, but I don’t think they will ever change it.
I would love to have assassinations make both you and your target invincible. However this gives the enemy the ability to come up right behind you while you are in the assassination animation and assassinate you. I believe that if their are no enemies within (x) meters then both you and your assassination victim are infinite. It is useful if your allies eliminate your assassination victim for you so enemies can not shoot you while you cannot react.

Also THIS. as soon as I complete the assassination commendation im gonna turn it off. it looks cool yeah but why would I want to kill someone in 3 seconds if I can in a blick of an eye by just meleeing him?

next we are gonna ask that when we jump on an enemy scorpion we both go invincible. teammates then cant save the scorpion anymore and my teammates cant steal my kill with a Spartan laser.

I certainly agree that making the assassin invincible would be a terrible move, but assassinations are unique in that the victim is no longer a threat once the animation begins. A Spartan with shields down or a vehicle being boarded still poses a significant threat, and may be able to win whatever encounter it is in. Assassinating should have an element of risk assessment because it is a time consuming process unlike a simple hit to the back, but the risk should be enemy players surprising you not friendlies kill stealing.

Like you basically said, the perrfect system on how to deal with Assassinations.
