I know this is a small problem but it can annoying at times. Basically I will come behind someone and hold melee the animation will start playing for a split second and then stop making them aware of my presence and ruining the assassination. It happens more often when they are sprinting or turning a corner.

Sounds like lag to me. I had a really lagging match on Spire on reach where I managed to get a showstopper for myself by spinning and meleeing a guy who from my perspective was sprinting at me from behind. From his perspective he was performing the assassination I assume.
Why are you angry cheese? Are you not having a gouda day?

Yeah it’s probably lag but I thought that maybe it might just be common glitch or something
And also I am not having a Gouda day because the cheese store was all out of Angry Cheeses 
i have this problem, but is the conection
Usually when that happens, I try to melee them before they can turn around so I can shoot then and atleast get my kill
