Assassination Bugged?

So I just played Regicide on Solace and saw a sniper chilling in one of the sniper towers. I go over to assassinate him, which ends up being a tackling animation, however after that, he stood right up and ran away, with me still ALIVE, not getting any sort of kill. I lost by 1 kill, but that isn’t relevant. Topic on hand is, has anyone else been screwed out of an assassination at all? I don’t mean when somebody gets a yoink or showstopper (if they even call those that anymore), I mean where both players are alive and just continue along with the game.

I saved the clip and put it on my File Share, it’s the only one that is on Solace. Any ideas what happened as to why I didn’t get the kill?

Yeah just a little bit ago it happened

if you move around or take your finger of the melee it can do that same in reach

Showstoppers are in the game and you can yoink but theres no metal for it. It just counts as a kill

From what I know the assassination bug only happens on sloped surfaces.

its a rare-ish assassination bug. Completed the assassination commendation with it happening once or twice.

It’s happened to me as well as other people when they try to assassinate me. It’s only happened once though.
