Assassination Animations Possible Option

I would love if you could toggle these things on and off the holding or just tapping the melee button seems to be very unreliable for me and would love an option like toggle crouch where you could just turn these off…anyone that has died while doing an (albeit cool) drawn out animation assassination and was stuck or just ar’d down by their teammate knows what Im talking about…What do you guys think?

If you don’t want the animations just use beat downs instead, faster and not as annoying

I don’t understand when people say this. They are optional, and I’ve never had an “accidental assassination” that people speak of. I just tap the button as quickly as possible, and I get my beat down. This is the way it should stay in Halo 4.

I hope they aren’t in Halo 4, but if they are I would definitely like an option to turn them off completely. For whatever reason, maybe lag, I’ve had the assassination animation occur when I did not want it. Having the option to turn this off would eliminate the possibility of this occurring. There is no reason not to implement this.

I have actually only ever had the opposite problem, laying down on the bumper and not receiving my beloved assassination scene. Gosh, I stinkin’ love those things.

I think trying to implement a completely new option into the UI coding like that is a lot more complicated than it’s being made out to be, but I’m certainly no programmer so I can’t say at all how difficult it would or would not be.

I do hope they stay in for Halo4 though!!

I believe you actually CAN turn off assassination animations in Reach custom game settings. It’s a little trick one of my friends talked to me about. I don’t know the results, but you can try it out yourselves to see.

All you gotta do is enable ‘Immune to assassinations’ in the base player traits. Again, I don’t know if this works but you can try.

Well for those of us who has had it happen, and maybe Its where Im on bumper jumper, I think it would be better if you could indefiently turn them suckers off
