So I was playing warzone last night and it was a pretty close game on Noctus when the first Warden drops in. Its going the same as usual he’s wrecking house every power weapon from both sides are shooting at him and his health is slowly goin down. Well I jump down from the monument and run in with my kinetic round AR and start blasting then for some reason he gives me his back. Now I’ve heard it’s possible to assassinate the bum so I give it a try, I melee him 3 or 4 times then the camera zooms out my spartan leaps onto his shoulders and does, well I’m not sure what he did but, a giant light flashes a whole bunch then the Warden collapses into a black hole.
I was awarded the legendary takedown but have no idea if my assassination was the killing blow.
Has anyone preformed the assassination that can help decide if I did it or not. I’ll be honest I just want the bragging rights.

Damn that’s savage! That’s kind of what it looked like when I did it. It’s hard to tell what’s goin on especially with everyone shooting and grenades goin off everywhere.
I’ve seen it happen a couple times, seems pretty random. Maybe his health has to be at a certain level when you melee? I thought maybe it was a mid-air melee to trigger it from behind, but doesn’t look that way in Rhydon’s video
I’ve started assassinating the Warden 3 times, but I’ve been killed by the enemy each time since the Warden is spammed with explosive rounds. He has to be at low health and expose himself by expanding. It can be done from atop his back or from his two legs (or so I think).
You can assassinate him, but its difficult because he is such an awesome target and is a useful one when it comes to points needed to win!
