Firstly, apologies if this is found to be posted in the wrong section, as I do not frequent the forums much.
Rightio, I’ve been noticing recently that there have been instances where you would try to assasinate your opponent, but mid-initiation, the assassination would cancel itself out and act like you haven’t hit the melee button, normally, these occurances would be minor and I would react fast enough to take care of it before whoever I crept up behind could do anything about it, but recently, I had an occurance that left me feeling rather salty, so I decided to post it on the forum, I’m quite sure that a topic similar to this could be sitting around somewhere, but I haven’t found any recent discussion on it, so yeah.

Okay, it looks like the speed boost of the enemy player was cancelling your assassination. I can assume he had 2-4 speed boost 2s on so he was moving fast enough to escape the assassination. This is irregular but I play w/o assassinations to avoid that, although I have cancelled an assassination in arena before…

I see… so either way, it’s a rather big issue regarding Halo 5, so I would hope that this particular glitch/bug may be addressed someday.
