Asking some Kindness from LE players

I remember in the past the Halo community was formed by kind and gently people, and I’m writing that to those good ones. I’m a LE player that lives in Europe, so I have a specialization code but I won’t recive any email. My mate has the standard edition.

I know I’m not legit to ask for a specialization code, many players are capped at SR-70 from much time and they want it more, but I feel anyway bad to see myself ranking up while my mate is stuck without it… I have also a stupid story about the specialization code that makes me feel even worst, but I’m not sure about telling it knowing there are too many trollers on this forum (and I felt bad enough already)

You LE players have already your Specialization, and if you recive the email means you have it extra: if there is someone really kind that would like to give it away, it would be a nice action. I would try repaying as I can, helping with commendations/achievements for example.

I’m not complaining about the fact of “losing experience”, but becouse it prevents me to play with my mate and enjoy the game fully =(

Thanks for reading anyway

EDIT: I’m not sure if the spec code is associated with the gamertag. Many times I recived Xbox emails with “gifts associated with this account” (for example last time I got a 1 month gold) and I was able to active it on the account of my mate anyway.
The email contains a link the auto-fills the code on the xbox, this means it should get unlocked on the gamertag that opens the link.

The codes that came thru email tonight are specific to the gamer tag associated with the email address. You cant even use those if someone was willing

> The codes that came thru email tonight are specific to the gamer tag associated with the email address. You can even use those if someone was willing

From what I saw, it’s not associated with the Gamertag. The link they recive is an “auto fill”, this means once you click it, it inserts the specialization code in the account of who opens the link. To give away the specialization you need just to copy that link without opening it and giving to someone…

I’m sorry for your particular circumstance. I wish there was something I could do.

343 dropped the ball. Send your mate my regards.

Edited the main post, explaining my thought so others will understand too^^"
Anyway, giving a try doesn’t lose anything: if the code it’s extra anyway you don’t need it, no?

I’m a Standard Edition owner because I wasn’t initially going to buy this game. If I had the money to buy the Limited Edition and send you that code, I would do it for your mate.

I am a limited edition owner, and I would do it…but I can’t. I received the e-mail, had no clue what this mysterious gift was, and redeemed it. I realized afterwards what it was, and how I just wasted the code on my account, which already has Specialization access. Apologies. I wish Microsoft gave us some explanation in that e-mail.

Well in my email it clearly states that…

*Offer good only for named recipient of this e-mail with Xbox LIVE Marketplace offer from Microsoft. Limit: one (1) gift per account. This offer is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the recipient

It says you can’t sell it, but it’s not really account-tied, you can use it on the account that you want. This phrase prevents them to have problems with who gets cheated with fake trades. It’s more like a legal thing they must write, but doesn’t affect if for true…

Exactly.

Anyway on a side note, I decided to purchase the limited edition of Halo 4 as well. So, the specialization code I received in my inbox is basically useless to me. So, just send me a private message if anyone is willing to trade for some Halo 4 armor codes.

I’m sad you are going to trade it as I have nothing to offer =( Anyway, I give you a suggestion: don’t go for first in such trades. Too many players want the Specialization, and more than half of them will jsut cheat you. Remember that after 1 month it’s hard that they still have the preorder codes to trade…

Personal Experience.

My friend got his code from an alt email. Just don’t redeem it on the computer, type it in manually on the xbox account you want it on. So it CAN be used on a different gamer-tag than intended.

I will do it.

If you feel sorry for your friend then buy him the LE edition…still available in Europe

Hate when people come up with sob stories to beg on internet game forums trying to get codes for things they have not earned

If someone is foolish enough to give him a code, expect to see it on Ebay 5 mins later

I have always been kind on those forums, helping every time I could, giving suggestions to who needed them. I never cheated anyone, and I always have been a fair player helping the team instead of caring only about my K/D. So in first place your phrases are offensive to me.
Then, I’m sorry you think so, becouse I got my LE preordered as gift on my birthday (6 months ago) and I don’t have enough money to spend 80€ on a limited edition only for a spec code. I’m really going to give it to my mate if someone will be gently enough to share the extra code. If I wanted to cheat and get them to sell, I could have easily wrote “I trade fotus armor, pm with spec for it” and be sure many would fall in that trick.

So you others see? what I was writing at the beginning: in the past there were much more gently players, and you could trust others without worries. Now it’s all about selfish persons…

Only so few nice players on this community? =(

I would have loved to do that. I saw an e-mail and it was talking about a gift for halo 4. I clicked it and the next few buttons and was suprised when I found that nothing in my game changed. I was confused and looked closely at the e-mail and realised it was for unlocking the specializations I already had form the LE. I would have liked to offer it to people. But I unknowingly used it. Would have loved to trade it for the elite armor code from halo reach… Or just have given it to someone else.

Seems the only ones that have the code are those who don’t want to give it away X3

Anyway I have a message for mvp0818: your private settings prevent me to send you PMs XP

I gave two of my codes away already but I hope someone will be kind enough to give you one.

I hope too…
