Don’t really understand why len flairs exist in anything. I don’t like them in games because there not fun and I don’t like them in movies/shows like Star Trek because I can’t see the ships. I have to seriously wonder somedays why anyone thinks their a good idea.
The solutions in older Halo games were map knowledge that informed you of when a Sniper was in play, and where the Snipers are located.
Halo Infinite massively downgrades map knowledge from prior Halo games (though that started with Halo 4). Halo 1-Reach relied on the player knowing where important weapons are, as well as when they get here. Halo 4-Infinite instead spoon feeds you that information. Scope Glint is just one example of how much I feel Halo Infinite has been dumbed down, and especially from a place where it wasn’t even that complex in the first place. If you see bullet trails, a specific sound, and you know the Sniper is on the map, as well as the Sniper spots, you are careful in those zones.
Having the sun just appear in a corner of the map removes the main utility of the Sniper Rifle (one shot kills from range) and places a giant “LOOK HERE SHOOT ME HERE” symbol on the player. And let’s also be real here, the only reason Halo has scope glints, is because Call of Duty and Battlefield have scope glints.
It was never an issue before, why is it an issue now?
