I’ve always loved these threads as they are a sure fire way to draw up some type of Halo conversation. So ask away everyone.
do you like the direction they’ve taken with this game, specifically multiplayer?

Well, 343 has really casual-ized the game, which is a sound decision in the current game market. However the core game play mechanics (gun balancing, jump height, movement, etc) are all very solid. With a few adjustments to the matchmaking and spawn systems the game could be extremely competitive. It’s entirely possible for Halo 4 to have the best of both worlds.
Most players who are complaining about Halo 4 are the ones who are trying to play Infinity Slayer competitively. It just won’t work. It wasn’t made with that style in mind.
How do I not get randoms on my team who drop -20 k/d’s every match?

Full party or bust.
Do you like all the CoD elements they’ve added to this game?
Can every Halo vet start a thread like this? If so, what would that do to this forum?

Agree, Im stuck in IF until they face lift Slayer Pro or add Doubles
Do you think weapons are really balanced or do there is something OP? BTW, what is the current best weapon in an average game?
whats your say on the Promethean, are they a good step up from the covies or do you proffer the covies to them.
All you see are grenade throwing nubs. trying to get that kill from the grave as a last ditch effort to get a kill. almost 90% of my kills some nub throws a nad at me just b4 they die. as well as jumping around like the Easter bunny on a -Yoink!- binge.
are you one of these no skilled players?
what are your thoughts on these aspects?

They annoyed me at first because they were so blatantly intended to be Call of Duty elements that 343 took and implemented, but they don’t seem to detract from the type of game-play 343 wanted. They wanted the game to be fast paced, chaotic, and casual, and they did a good job in that regard. I actually have a lot of fun getting drunk and running around with an assault rifle in Infinity Slayer.
However I’m a competitive player at heart and most of these new features such as instant spawns and random weapon drops take away from competitive play considerably.

From what I’ve seen DMR is the best for mid to long range because of its ease of use. The BR is slightly better on smaller maps like Adrift though.
But, it doesn’t even matter really. When good teams play each other there is so much team-shooting going on that the effectiveness of individual guns becomes a non-factor.

Personally, I disliked the Prometheans. I honestly couldn’t even say why. They just didn’t feel right.
But, I’m no good at discussing what makes a good Campaign. It’s just too opinion based. Haha.
Tell me everything about the Lore, please
I have heard of it a little and i find it very interesting.

Saying the truth it matters a lot. When 6 players of the enemy team are using DMR at the same time it’s like instant kill on whoever they aim…
As a Halo veteran myself, I have to ask you on my favorite part of the games: Custom games. In your eyes how do you think they have gone starting with the original Halo all the way through Halo 4?
Do you think this game is less skill based then previous halos since there are so many power weapons?
