If they retconned guardians ( which is kinda likely to happen) it wouldn’t even matter about Cortana Because they could say that when she “died” she actually went full rampant mode and that’s where we are now. Halo wars 2 should not at all be retconned because that game was great! I loved it and that was my first experience with RTS games, but above all, it is literally a prequel to Inf.

It’s not happening. Period. 343i have already explicitly said that Halo Infinite continues Halo 5’s story.
