It breaks the flow of gameplay even more so than what people typically say about Sprint.Think about it…
Why would you want to remove Sprint yet love Evade? Evade is essentially Sprint on steroids!
If anything, it should be the other way around! At least with Sprint the players are still upright and battles aren’t halted as much, but with a competent player using Evade, good luck getting a quick kill. Halo 4 should not have Evade, at least as a starting option.
I used to LOVE Evade, but the more I use it myself and the more I fight against people who use it, the more I hate it and realize it has no place in Halo AS A STARTING OPTION. The rest is pretty self-explanatory.
Thoughts? Personally, I think they should scrap Evade from the starting options and if this were to return for Halo 4, they should definitely do so for matchmaking.
It actually makes perfect sense. Spartans are that fast (explains it in the books). Well supposed to be anyhow. It’s better than armour lock and makes more sense. The elites are just about that fast on campaign.
If it returns for Halo 4 it should be a only campaign item. It can be quite the game breaker in MP.
Indeed. Evade is everything we hate about sprint. It lets you get away from fights you should have lost. Unlike sprint, evade can get you to a safe location with the press of a button. Getting to cover with sprint is much harder, because you can’t sprint backwards and it’s much slower.

As much as this is about evade breaking gameplay, it is also about future implications for Halo 4, hence its placement in the Halo 4 forum. I see where your coming from but there is solid reason behind its placement in this forum.

Exactly. There’s not much to bring Reach back up to par, but this is obviously (or so I thought it was obvious) a thread about Halo 4 lol
