This is just personal for me. I have high assumptions over anything that doesn’t set a boundary. Halo 5 was a fun game, action packed gameplay. But everything they done was just cute and arcade like that nothing to take really serious about in each mission.
Halo Infinite will still be played for me on any other rating, but I just seen it have a high reputation as an R rated game due to its past. If the flood does return, thats the perfect way to make it an R rated game.
EDIT: How did Infinite get Rated T but Halo 3 ODST, is rated M. >_> Nothing actually happens in Halo 3 ODST.

PEGI 16 here in the UK.

Thats stupid. That means there are no flood. >> How did Halo Reach end up being Rated M or ODST. >>

previous games were rated m, not because of the flood or swears, it was because of blood that would splatter on the ground and walls when killing npcs or other players. honestly, this is the least important thing to series for me. if 343 want to make it t so parents are more comfortable with their kids playing it, fine, whatever, I played the series since I was 7 and other kids that age are definitely playing halo now.

Link?
It’s rated T on the Microsoft windows store. However, all it says is “Violence” yet usually the ERSB includes “Blood” in their ratings as well. This makes me think that the ERSB hasn’t properly rated it yet.
Consider the fact that the trailer also says “Not yet rated by the ERSB”

From the ESRB rating page, the violence descriptor only means “Scenes involving aggressive conflict. May contain bloodless dismemberment.”
I think you may be right that they haven’t fully rated it yet.

At the start of the trailer it said pegi 18 the T to 16 rating is probably just a place holder for now and will change closer to launch (I’m uk too)

Pegi 18 was for the whole games showcase
Personally, I’m a fan of the blood and bullet holes, adds seriousness, weight to the campaign and players actions. I never understood why its ok to show deaths but no blood, actions have consequences, to me, it breaks immersion.

Alternatively, they could have done what Gears of War does, keep it M rated and more bloody/realistic but also include a “reduced violence” setting where blood and gore becomes smoke and sparks instead

Perfect compromise.
I’m so old I remember paintball mode instead of blood in N64’s Perfect Dark, its actually kinda fun just to switch things up.

Let us hope you are right. Its a problem to me. Kind of like my OCD. It makes me feel comfortable that I am playing a game that is meant for a broader audience.

I enjoy rated T and M games alike, but when playing a game thats M rated, its like playing a game meant for a bigger audience. Of course anyone can play, but you kind of feel you have much more to see through the game than just cute and funny moments.
Like seeing Deadpool become PG13, but still claiming to be for a wider audience.

PEGI 18 at the start of the show was for the whole show, not Halo.
Edit. Nevermind, PacificTulip469 already told you that.
