People would be throwing and ruining matches anyways. Dumb players is nothing new.
The hit reg and delay is so bad in this game I don’t think it was ever this bad in any previous halo.
If they were stress testing their servers think they proved that they’re complete dog-Yoink!-.
I just want them to do this :
PvP Challenges :
- Spree Challenges
- Match Win Challenges
- Match Complete Challenges
- Objective Score challenges.
At least these are more varied and you can have a chance to complete every match. Objective Score also means the score you get at the end of the match. Maybe have it at around 1500 ~ 2000 score to clear the challenge. It means you actually have to play the match properly. Clear all PvP Challenges to unlock the Ultimate Challenge for a cosmetic.
As a bonus for being a Campaign purchase, you have Campaign Challenges. These will be your weapon related challenges.
- Weapon Challenges
- Vehicle Challenges
- Specific Kill Challenges
- Boss Challenges (if replaying a boss is even a thing)
As a person who bought the campaign, this is our bonus progression.
Each Challenge is an instant tier up. You get 5 PvP Challenges and 5 PvE Challenges a week. You can rank up 10 times a week like this.
They could even have the Campaign challenges offer cR. So there’s more incentive to buy the campaign.
Yea why the heck not.
More Campaign sales means more money for them to generate content without overcharging the shop.
You can have the shop slice the prices in half and even more people will buy cosmetics from the shop and generate more revenue over time.
The simple thing would be for challenges to be way less reliant on PvP. If all of the challenges could be completed in bot matches, people could complete those real quick and then actually enjoy the multiplayer in PvP.
im already bored out of my mind because i can’t play the modes i want to play, i have resorted to just play the 7 “play a match” challenges in bot quickplay then dip out.
Yeah it feels like Battlefield 4 at launch. Can duck pretty far behind a wall and still get shot from some guy a full second after
Same here. Gameplay wise, there doesn’t seem to be anything here for me until 7+ months.
That is my thinking with what I would like to happen. Like I want to help my team in the other modes, and usually I almost always opt to, but if I know I have a challenge that I could complete I sometimes lean into that.
G’Day mate ! Love this post. I’m an older gamer and the current PvP is a little intimidating. I can only spend a little spare time to enjoy some Halo and then there are others who play it as a job. So you get really part timers against really hardcore. One of the thing I loved about Halo 5, was the Warzone Firefight. You can battle PvE and get all the rewards. For me, that was excellent. I have the Infinite Campaign on order and I can’t wait just to hammer some grunts, brutes, elites and hunt down every last one of those - insert profanity - jackal snipers.
I agree, I find myself ignoring match objectives just to complete a challenge.
I fully 100% agree here! We need some level of PvE challenges if this progression system is going to last, as it’s clearly been proven that it’s harmful to the game and it’s community.
Aside from being able to do stuff in bot matches, I’d love to see the addition of PvE dedicated modes, like say just as an example; Infected, VIP, Juggernaut. Make these modes harder difficulty of course but still, it’d at least give us some options.
My other suggestion would be to allow us to progress PvE challenges in the Campaign, MCC did this system really well, obviously have Campaign challenges separate from the Multiplayer ones, “Kill X enemy Spartans” would be confusing otherwise. PvE in general just needs more love, not everyone is a PvP gamer, yet all the “good” games seem to be locked in the Competitive PvP genre.
Hopefully we’ll get some more information about stuff like this after the Campaign is launched as I’d imagine 343 is prioritised on the official release first.
I’m just playing bot matches and BTB more than just 4v4 PVP. More fun than just running into players who have all eyes knowing where you are in the match and insta-kill.
So yeah, I agree with you.
I agree that challenges should be able to be completed in bot matches, but it isn’t going to stop a lot of the people quitting and ruining matches. I literally did not have a single game today where someone didn’t quit, but if it was oddball? The entire team just gone.
Agreed. :c I’ve been enjoying the ranked matches a lot more just because people are actually focused on the objective.

I’ve been seeing that a lot too and it sucks because i love oddball :< and also playing well with the team so we win lol
Bruh i had to leave like 15 games in a row to get strongholds. Its annoying all the way around.
People are actually ruining getting challenges complete because they are throwing matches. I’ve witnessed it more then a few times.
The challenges just need to be Universal, then they won’t feel like challenges ppl will just be playing
Get x ……
Assists
Kills
Wins
Melees
Grenade kills
Doubles
Sprees
Mark Assists
AR/BR or Pistol Kills (These are Spawn guns, not guns you gotta fight for on map)
Now you just eliminated the need to go out of your way to complete a challenge, you can just play the match/objective and you will naturally progress any challenge
Lemme Break Down why they may be doing this with a Challenge I Had
Get 10 Stalker Rifle Kills
Only 2 of the 6-7 Maps in Quickplay have Stalker Rifle
Say you get 1 of the 2 Maps, now you have to hope stalker rifle won the lottery over the Shock Rifle
So when these stars align, your most likely going to progress your challenge instead of trying to win the game, I’m strictly speaking Quickplay not Ranked
