First of I would love for everyone to be happy about Halo 4 and that the game was perfect for every sort of player but as for now this is probably not going to happen.
I for one love the new stuff we have heard about and not becuase I’m 100% sure that it is going to work but because it is something new and different. I think we all can agree that Halo 1-3 was pure magic in almost every way and I had alot of fun with reach and I’m still playing the game. But can we please stop trying to re-create that magic and start on something new. And no remakes of maps please, the problem with trying to re-create something is that it never lives up to the nostalgia and you never get something new and fresh.
And it is time for MLG and competitve player to realize that Halo wasn’t created especially for you and that you don’t speak for the whole community and neither am I. But I’m tired of reading about how 343 turned their backs on Halo fans, they haven’t. I’m a huge Halo fan, got all the books, games, collectors edition, you name it. I still play Reach and I go back to H3 every now and then and as I said I love the new things I have read so far. The point is that I’m a fan and 343 is doing everything right in my opinion, why would I want a new Halo 3 or Halo 3,5 when I just as easily can go back and play Halo 3.
I don’t know if this made any sense but I just wanted to voice my opinion, there are halo fans out there who want to see changes. I got nothing against MLG or competitive players but I don’t like it when they speak like they own Halo and that everything should be done the way they like it.
The point to this is to let 343 know that they are doing just fine and I can’t wait to play Halo 4, don’t listen to all the haters and please announce some special editions of the game so that I can go a head and pre-order it. competitive players you will surely find a new game to play and remember, don’t be a hater, be a congratulater.

Been playing Halo since the beginning and I knew change was coming, I might not like it but this is the way the trilogy is going and I’m trying my very best to stay positive and wait until we see more gameplay/ play the game myself before I judge. I ask everyone else to do the same try and embrace change you currently do not know if this breaks the games balance. Don’t say you know because you can’t know for sure!

All this change is terrible for Halo and this game will probably be worse then Reach. I mean random weapon timers, AAs, and sprint? OMG can this game get any worse? Even after all the hate that Reach got they still add it in there. Every community is unhappy about this. As an allstar competitive Halo veteran since Halo CE I am very depressed about this. Well at least im gonna enjoy the Campaign.

Frankie said that there are going to be options for traditional halo fans from day 1. Plus, look at my thread, Frankie commented on the random weapon spawns. It should help clear things up a bit.

Hey if Unicorns were a part of the Halo universe and canon why not, but I don’t think it is. And please don’t be dim about this, all the things we have read about isn’t taken from out the blue, they make sense is some way or another.

Moreover, I do agree partially with what you are saying. I am not saying all of what I hear I endorse but there are some aspects which I look forward to seeing how they develop,
Many people here are angry at 343 for “Betraying them”. Well guys/girls, 343 isn’t making the game for you. They are making the game for who they think will make them the most money. And shock of shocks, it is the MASSIVE COD type market. DOn’t like it? well, you don’t have to buy the game and you can leave us people who are alone.
Stay positive, although at times it can be hard.
