As a Colorblind player

This radar is downright useless. The red dots are so faint it’s like they’re not even there. And as a grifball player, whenever I grab the bom…ball (what used to be a bomb why did you change that???) it’s directly on top of the radar making it 100% useless.

I’m not sure why you made the dots less distinct, but it needs to be fixed, I believe other games have an option for colorblind players so the colors change or at least become more obvious. Please consider this, because i’m pretty sick of playing without a radar

I agree. traditionally, the radar was fairly opaque and the dots were extremely bold. Now it is fairly transparent and the dots are incredibly faded.

I’m colorblind as well. I can’t see the dots on the radar at all. I have no idea why they changed this - then again, I don’t know why they made any of the changes other than “change for the sake of change.”

So I’m guessing you two rack up some pretty insane betrayal medals?

> So I’m guessing you two rack up some pretty insane betrayal medals?

They’re colorblind. Not stupid.

Well, the name Grifball actually kinda fits the game now, right? They should of called it Grifbomb before… :stuck_out_tongue:

Play gametypes without radar - everyones equal.

This sounds like a legitimate complaint. They oughta add something for the colourblind that makes an opaque HUD. How hard could that be?

> Play gametypes without radar - everyones equal.

This doesn’t address the issue at all. The radar worked fine for colorblind players in the past, now it doesn’t. That’s a case of change for the sake of change that, as usual, is bad.

“Don’t play gametypes with radar” is as useless as “don’t play gametypes with ordnance” if you don’t like randomness. It does absolutely nothing but defend a system that is clearly broken.

Lamentably, you’ll have to add it to the list of suggestions for Halo 5.

This is the only official comment I’ve seen:

> We have a lot of color-blind players in the studio, including myself (100% red/green, which is why I seldom break the Tashi Ceiling), but we will not be producing a color-blindness “mode.” However, we have considered it as an art team, in how we choose palettes and types of contrast. The Spartans and UI elements help tremendously, and so far I am doing a bit better than I’d expect in that area.

I feel your pain man, I’m colorblind too. This is why I cant even play games like Call of Duty, it’s too hard to see the subtle changes in colors.

The radar X’s are REALLY useless…

Which makes me also want to say… BRING BY THE DEATH X WAYPOINTS! I keep saying “1 shot on my X”!

I’m not color blind and I’m tired of getting banned for racial slurs. So, fix that too, 343.

…Cod has colourblind options.

I use it all the time.

I can’t play without radar. Plus, Halo is not Halo without radar. It has always been with us and it always will be with us whether anyone likes it or not.

It’s not that I’m happy that you suffer the same issue as I do, but I am happy that others are making it clear that there’s a significant issue which waits for a fix!
