I feel the same about 4, not my favorite, but I liked how they portrayed Chief and Cortana pretty well in that.
Didact fell flat for me.
I hope you enjoy Infinite when you do play it though. It’s not fun being in my camp, and wish I could enjoy it.

What’s the alternative? Playing solo or not at all?
I’m gauging how many are positive versus negative. So far I’m seeing more positives.
Yup online. I’m on PC she is on a Series X.
The campaign is solid, however I would say it is probably best done Solo on first playthrough if you want the full experience (unlike for example H3).
I’m sort of in the same situation as you, but I’m trying to play halo infinite with my brother and when the coop comes out thats when we go into 7th grade

I think It’s the first Halo made by 343 with a really solid story, different than previous titles but feels like it’s what the franchise really needed. I’m sure you will both really enjoy it.
Side note - enormous props for waiting, my gf also wanted to play co-op with me so we could go through it together and when I heard it wasn’t coming at release I couldn’t wait and gave in.

Ouch man. I’m graduating college in a week.
I’m literally graduating college before co-op is out. I don’t know if I’ll have time by then if I get a busy job.
When it got delayed past May she said I could play it and she will wait. I’m too dissappointed in 343 to be that excited anymore. The idea of playing this game with her outweighs any want to play this for myself.

Me and my brother got the game for our birthday at the beginning of the year to play the campaign. Me and our bro won’t play the campaign until coop Releases is because we’ve played every main halo game campaign by bungie together.

This is my first impression of 343’s halo games because my brother and I have completed the campaigns to Halo CE Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo Reach, And Halo 3 ODST. We have a friend who we got our Xbox from who sent us the master chief collection disc. Which was epic to play all of those games.

I mean I’ll drag my mates on either way. If it’s not broken I’d certainly enjoy that.
It’s more that it’s slightly outrageous that it’s taken them this long to get a launch feature out.
Halo 5 did all most of its content drops only a year or so after launch and forge came out not long after games release.
I know that if Bungie made the newer Halo games we would be having halo games with superb customization and coop campaign at release
You don’t need to imagine it. Destiny 2 kind of has an open world with all the planets as well as regular DLC, events and expansions. No idea what they do on multi front. But it’s still night and day.
Personaly I think halo 3 or reach would be a good start to a newer halo game they could do a different story with better graphics. (What i mean as a good start is like the physics, and customization.
To be honest, no.
The thing about the campaign is that a lot of it is really quite good, I enjoyed some of the cutscenes and some of the locations, but the reality is that there is just a LOT of filler content that isn’t interesting at all.
Not to mention that if you’re hoping to see a lot of characters from previous games or media, you’ll be disappointed. If you’re hoping that the campaign is packing away a lot of fun secrets and epic cutscenes, you’ll be disappointed. It’s kinda like if you took a game like Halo 3 and made it end before they go to the ark.
Nailed it right there with the Halo 3 equivalent of story length and story completeness,
Halo Infinites’ campaign story is quite short and just ends, there is many questions and few answers and I don’t think we will be getting any campaign expansions any time soon,
Especially if Halo Infinite does a Mass Effect Andromeda, EA was so quick to end support, kill it and hope you forget it even existed.
