The ranked playlist are modes for the HardCore imo, we need more 4v4 standard playlists instead of the no hud no bloom or whatever because anytime trying to play anything social the other team just seems to obliterate mine.
Ranked modes don’t need to be tough and sweaty, they just need to be ranked so you face similar opposition, HALO 2 or 4 with rotating modes or whatever facing similar opposition would be great.
Like I want to enjoy the game but ranked playlist is terrible and social where you can play anything the opposition just seem as if they are pubstomping everyone.
Am I alone here guys, no more filthy casuals about just the dedicated?

That’s prime partying age, when you get to mid 30’s and had more temporary friends than numbers in the phone book you’ll get it, until then lol
Try out FFA. It is all I play in most games and I have tons of fun. Be sure to allow most the game types so you can play fun game types alongside the typical competitive modes.

I have tried FFA, it’s my favourite mode in HALO 5 but the games I played when opening up the filters to include all games the spawn system seemed horrendous, as bad as MW3.
If there was ranked FFA, even as little as 4 players I would be on it like a rash.
I think it has less to do with the settings and more to do with the dwindling population. The ranking system doesn’t match you with players of similar skill because there’s barely anyone, so it expands the search parameters until you match someone who’s likely way more experienced than you.
Also, sometimes it’s impossible for very high ranked players to find matches so they create a new account in order to keep playing consistently. If I were you, I would try searching at peak population times so you have the best chance at finding fair matches.

Yes the population doed seem threadbare, in UK I can’t find games of HALO 3 Slayer or HALO 2 hardcore, think everyone is on reach and socials which pretty much tell me they need to work on the modes within ranked.

I think it does ok but HALO is old, any time do find a game it’s on US EAST servers too so matchmaking isn’t really healthy till about 6pm over there which is pretty late here.

Ah, yeah I can see how that is a pain. Back when I use to play niche titles on PC there were some that were only played by mostly euros so I understand what it’s like to have to play a game at a weird time just to get matches. Hopefully infinite revives your playerbase.
