Artificially high unit max?

I feel like the max number of units in HW2 isn’t actually all that different than HW1. Sure the base number is 80 and you can go all the way to 120 but now all of the sudden marines cost as much (3 units) as Scorpions did in HW1. It just seems like a cheap way of artificially making the unit count appear higher.
Overall a small complaint as I’m still having a ton of fun so far.

You’re completely right… With the inflated population costs you’ll sometimes end up with a very limited number of units. You get less Grizzlies in this game than in Halo Wars 1, but 3 more Scorpions than in Halo Wars 1. Number of marines is exactly the same.

At the very least they should optimize the PC better and allow for a larger unit population on PC considering they’re far more powerful than Xbox One. As it is, it actually handles worse on PC than the Xbox One (with a far better speced PC too).

This is a great change as units have more granularity.
