I figure the general forum would be the place to put this. A brief introduction.
I may be new here, but was very active on Bungie’s forums and Halopedia amongst other communities. I am a huge fan of Halo, and as such have made it a goal to collect every piece of physical fiction possible. This includes strategy guides, and art books.
One such art book is the rare “Art of Halo 3” book. Limited in print, it was one last piece of the puzzle to my grandiose Halo fiction shelf.
I found one last year, but it was special. A history behind it that saw it in the hands of the current art team (at the time) for ODST and Reach, Nathan Fillion, his ex-girlfriend, and then me. Mere mortals did not have chances like this, I thought. Please follow the link to see my story, and yes I am aware it is to an ebay listing. I will explain.
Sadly, the one thing I coveted for must go. I am faced with a hard decision of selling something so rare, but also allowing myself a future that Halo, a series I love and am very much a part of in my own ways, will allow me to have. Education and hard times call that a sacrifice must be made, hence the posting you see before you. I hope this does not violate any rules or terms of service. I felt I should share such a rarity with the forums here, just in case someone would like this an opportunity at this.
As a major collector these are a variety of 343i and Bungie items. They are neat and some are somewhat exclusive. The price you are asking for will be hard to sell but can happen…
Thank you for checking and throwing your support. I was worried I’d get flamed for being a low poster here (again, I’ve been with the communities since Halo 2, and right now I don’t have a computer to be as active as I once was)
But I love Halo, and knew people who appreciate halo may want a chance to at least see this, and spread it around the community. Have a chance to own it as well. I even got to spend time with the gentleman who made the art book (Fernando Bueno) at Comic Con last year. It was an inspiring thing to see his love for this book, and the work and time he spent into helping create it. I’m sad I’ve had to come to this point of selling, but I know it’s worth it to any collector, and to myself. With this I’ll be able to finish school and continue putting towards such a wonderful series. Thanks again my friend, so commenting.

With these items on the table there is nothing to troll about. I wouldn’t worry about it. I find your experiences impressive and unique. I don’t play a lot of Halo Wars but I play Halo PC, CE Halo Reach, 3 and ODST online a lot. I have met some of the developers for Halo but Art book developers can’t say I have. Good luck to you and the bidder but I will add you.

Again thanks for your support on this. Some of the extra goodies not listed include Mass effect assorted goods like an inflatable light blade, n7 tattoos, anime posters, and such. Dead space inflatable plasma cutters, tattoos, gears of war promo cards and a Cole train avatar plush award.

At one point new ones ranged from 500-1000 unsigned. Right now they range 380-550 sealed/brand new without wrap. I figure with all the signatures, plus the other rare book and games (plus some of the listed memorabilia that were grab bag give aways for promotion) I figured it would be a reasonable asking price.
I think it would be worth more if halo was the only big obsession like it was during halo 2/3 era.

What is everyone’s opinion on Halo’s popularity in the market? How do you feel other games may have impacted it, and do you think Halo 4 will bring it back?
I really feel the reputation that came with being sci-fi vs the military realistic" shooters really became a bias for Halo. So many people prefered Call of duty, etc etc it became cool to hate halo. But I feel like this will be its big test. Anniversary didn’t sell loads and loads, and reach didn’t break records, but I’d likento see what comes with this hugenpush for halo 4.
I saw the live action Scanned trailer. Man I haven’t been this pumped for Halo since 3.

The hot period for halo’s prime was Halo 3. I believe the hot period might unravel during the Halo 4 launch with the games major diversity so maybe your items might sell easy before xmas.
